As a first impression, Jaylon started off wrong with Devon. There are just some people who can't forget a first impression. The scene at the restaurant kind of showed that Jaylon wasn't receptive to fixing things. He kept saying "You're a catfish. I don't like you." All of the animosity from the 1st episode really set the tone for how things went. The whole show was about Devon VS Jaylon. There were other segments but I think that is what people will remember the most. I will say that the fight breaking out while Jaylon's father was there was uncool. Nevertheless, Jaylon started this whole catfish thing. I agree with Skye that it shouldn't have been that big of a deal. I would have loved to see more of the cast functioning with their crafts or businesses. Unfortunately, with a gay cast there will be drama but the catfish stuff was just unnecessary. With shows like LAHH they do have security around, I thought the security was from the producers of the show. I didn't know it was Jaylon's personal security. Was it that deep? Jaylon does seem like the person to talk shit and call the security afterwards. I just get this vibe that he likes to throw the stone and hide his hand. Also, Devon should really listen to his friends if he really values them.They just want to see him shine at the end of the day. I am glad Devon and Skye are able to be friends because it would have been very unfortunate if he walked away from the show with no friends. I know he isn't looking for any yet it is still good to be receptive. I definitely see myself hanging people like Skye, Devon, and Cameron. Lyrik seems chill too but it would have been great to get more depth from him. I would say the same about Cameron. It just seems like those two are the ones that we know the least from the show. I hope that we see more of them on the next season. They don't need to get involved in drama or anything like that. That is not what I mean. Everyone doesn't need some big drama attached to them. If Akeem doesn't come back, that's fine. I really hope this show continues and gets more support.
Re-watching this back in 2024, Devon was incredibly self-aware, yet misunderstood. There’s so many layers of his story that were compelling and relatable…this show is really the foundation for a lot of the Gay Reality Webseries that came to follow👏🏾✨🔥

I had never heard of this show before Sunday. I cooked Easter dinner for friends and family and happened to meet Devon and Gaurdini being that they were invited by a friend of a friend. I happened to really like Devon and wanted to know more about him and his catering brand. From general conversation I could tell that he has been through and is till going through a lot. I wanted to really reach out to him but the environment at the time wasn't conducive for it. I see so much of myself in him and I really want him to make it. Don't be so hard on this young man, he's carries a lot of baggage and is trying to find his way in a climate full of reads and shade. Keep your eye on him, I have a feeling that he's going to surprise ya'll before it's all said and done. #diamondintherough p.s. I got home around midnight after dinner and drinks but was compelled to find and watch at least an episode or two. I stayed up and binge watched the entire first season which was no small feat being that I had to be at work at 8am.

I think this is such a raw, truthful, and compelling show to watch. I’m loving the direction that the producers are taking the show towards. This reminds me of “The Real World” where we see real issues with real ass people. The only thing I’d critique about the cast is that they be more open about what their daytime employment really is. TBH, we all know these dudes haven’t “arrived” yet, so let’s hope they aren’t putting on a facade to show the viewers that they aren’t hurting for anything! There’s nothing wrong with introducing that element into the show, as it makes the cast more relatable! I will be back to see season two! Can not wait!

As a first impression, Jaylon started off wrong with Devon. There are just some people who can't forget a first impression. The scene at the restaurant kind of showed that Jaylon wasn't receptive to fixing things. He kept saying "You're a catfish. I don't like you." All of the animosity from the 1st episode really set the tone for how things went. The whole show was about Devon VS Jaylon. There were other segments but I think that is what people will remember the most. I will say that the fight breaking out while Jaylon's father was there was uncool. Nevertheless, Jaylon started this whole catfish thing. I agree with Skye that it shouldn't have been that big of a deal. I would have loved to see more of the cast functioning with their crafts or businesses. Unfortunately, with a gay cast there will be drama but the catfish stuff was just unnecessary.
With shows like LAHH they do have security around, I thought the security was from the producers of the show. I didn't know it was Jaylon's personal security. Was it that deep? Jaylon does seem like the person to talk shit and call the security afterwards. I just get this vibe that he likes to throw the stone and hide his hand. Also, Devon should really listen to his friends if he really values them.They just want to see him shine at the end of the day. I am glad Devon and Skye are able to be friends because it would have been very unfortunate if he walked away from the show with no friends. I know he isn't looking for any yet it is still good to be receptive. I definitely see myself hanging people like Skye, Devon, and Cameron. Lyrik seems chill too but it would have been great to get more depth from him. I would say the same about Cameron. It just seems like those two are the ones that we know the least from the show. I hope that we see more of them on the next season. They don't need to get involved in drama or anything like that. That is not what I mean. Everyone doesn't need some big drama attached to them. If Akeem doesn't come back, that's fine. I really hope this show continues and gets more support.

Re-watching this back in 2024, Devon was incredibly self-aware, yet misunderstood. There’s so many layers of his story that were compelling and relatable…this show is really the foundation for a lot of the Gay Reality Webseries that came to follow👏🏾✨🔥

I had never heard of this show before Sunday. I cooked Easter dinner for friends and family and happened to meet Devon and Gaurdini being that they were invited by a friend of a friend. I happened to really like Devon and wanted to know more about him and his catering brand. From general conversation I could tell that he has been through and is till going through a lot. I wanted to really reach out to him but the environment at the time wasn't conducive for it. I see so much of myself in him and I really want him to make it. Don't be so hard on this young man, he's carries a lot of baggage and is trying to find his way in a climate full of reads and shade. Keep your eye on him, I have a feeling that he's going to surprise ya'll before it's all said and done. #diamondintherough
p.s. I got home around midnight after dinner and drinks but was compelled to find and watch at least an episode or two. I stayed up and binge watched the entire first season which was no small feat being that I had to be at work at 8am.

I think this is such a raw, truthful, and compelling show to watch. I’m loving the direction that the producers are taking the show towards. This reminds me of “The Real World” where we see real issues with real ass people. The only thing I’d critique about the cast is that they be more open about what their daytime employment really is. TBH, we all know these dudes haven’t “arrived” yet, so let’s hope they aren’t putting on a facade to show the viewers that they aren’t hurting for anything! There’s nothing wrong with introducing that element into the show, as it makes the cast more relatable! I will be back to see season two! Can not wait!
