I'm third year BA and I definitly watched this video 2 years too late. I never knew this much about articles and applying. I regret not working hard enough untill now very much. To whoever is seeing this comment and is first year. DO NOT MESS AROUND! I did and it is not worth it. Work hard and set yourself up for success because now it is too late for me to get the marks to get into a top 5 law firm for articles and it is the biggest regret I have.
Thank you for this advice. I will be studying BA law next year. In your opinion what is one of the greatest challenges about studying BA law? If you don't mind me asking
Hi😊 no I don't mind at all. In my own opinion the hardest part is to prioritise my work 🙈 The work itself, in my opinion, is not difficult it is just a lot! You have to put in the work. And try to strive for good marks and not just passing 🤗 The work is extremely interesting but I learned that it being interesting is not enough. You have to work hard. You will thank yourself in the future 😊
@@tiacrous6385 Thank you so much, will definitely strive for good marks. 🙌

Thank you for this valuable information. I completed my undergraduate BA Law at Rhodes university. I completed my postgraduate LLB at Unisa. South African law is the same regardless which university you attended. It all depends on your work ethic and most importantly your academic results. Rhodes was good but Unisa's style of teaching law is by far the best. It's clear, thorough and you won't make it through any of their exams if you're poorly prepared. Kudos to Bowmans for employing the lady who obtained an 80% average at Unisa. I know what she went through to get good results.
Thank you so much for this. ❤️
All a pleasure. So glad you enjoyed
This is amazing 🤩
Thank you 😊
Our legal guardian 🙌🏽😇
This was fun and so much informative. I do have 1 or 2 questions though.
Ask away my love ❤️
Thank you.
I started my LLB in 2007 with Uniwest, Mafikeng. 3rd year I fell into really difficult times which eventually led me to trying unisa. However, I still had financial difficulties. It was only last year that i finally found financial assistance to continue. Unisa had to take 50% of my credits, which was another draw back.
QUESTION: will my academic journey/background put me at a disadvantage with the firms?
@@malebogomorule6358
No, as long as you can account for it which you have. and also as long as your marks are good. so i don't think it will be held against you once you explain the situation.
Yaaaaaaaay🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️🙌
Yay! You loved it ? 😃
I loved it,girllll I learned a lot ❤️thank you.
Bona, you’re not just helping students applying for Law articles or vac work. Anyone can take notes and use

Thank you ❤💕💞
Always a pleasure ❤️
Really loved this video😊 wish I found this earlier 😂 Is there any way to have her back or anyone else really to talk about how to get into a top law firm as a junior attorney or even as a candidate attorney ceding their articles. 😊
I'm an accounting student but l find this very useful
Same here
This tips are helpful for any profession
So at the moment not a lot of varsities have ongoing curricular activities especially for news people to join... Then what can we say in the experience part??
Hi tsidi. I'm Victor. It is always good to watch your videos. I have inspired a lot. May you please be my mentor
I was just applying for my articles this morning 😭😭🤗
Do you wish you had the video before 😭
I’m fourth year and no articles this made me so anxious
Academically akukho Sharp😭🤦♀️😂😂😂🙆♀️.
I'm just taking notes for my application at Mam'Gs Law Firm🥵🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭
Do University rankings really play a big role in terms of employability?
In this day and age.l, they do...
when it comes to vocational work do the law firm provide accommodation?
Do you personally think that studying at UNISA gives you an disadvantage when it comes to securing articles and jobs compared to other Universities? Why do people think unisa students aren't as qualified? I really want to know, any advice?
just apply, what do you have to lose? be persistent...don't go w what's being said, see for yourself
#blackwomenpower
Hey sis tshidi...is it possible to start apply for articles at first year ....and when is the best time to get your paralegal degree.
Thank you
I think it’s possible but maybe not recommended. I think it’s good to wait until you’re done enough law courses.
Honestly I can’t provide much guidance on the paralegal route- I’m not very familiar with it . Sorry babe
@@theviks9236 thank you sis tshidi☔️
I have one question, why were you surprised when she mentioned that they take unisa students, that "really?" Nje on its own just stipulates gore they actually don't and didn't take unisa students before
I wanted to ask, what are considered good marks by law firms.
I've heard 65 percent plus is good but big 5 firms is 75 percent plus. Aim for the best you can do though 😅
