Really hoping an upcoming main expansion box is Defender's with Daredevil and Jessica Jones as the heroes in the box and with Luke Cage, Elektra, Iron Fist, Punisher, and Hellcat as hero packs in the cycle.
@@Bumbum_Inspector The current speculation is that the next cycle is either going to be Defenders (street level heroes) or the Fantastic Four. Personally I think we are long overdue for Daredevil (he is on a truly ridiculous amount of card art). But I F4 would also get us some truly excellent villains so either would be a nice break from the Xmen.
@@Bumbum_Inspector Agreed I'm only interested in F4 for the villains (Doom, Galactus, etc). Hero wise Luke cage, Moon Knight, hell even White Tiger would be welcome.
@@willfoltz Yea the villains for Fantastic 4 would be awesome but Defenders have some great ones too like Kingpin, Bullseye, Purple Man, The Hand, and they could even keep the meme alive of Daredevil always cleaning up Spiderman's trash and have the first villain of the box be like Shocker or something lol.
I think a part of She-Hulk's game plan is to churn and burn. My goal with her is to cycle through my deck as quickly as possible to hammer off all the Gama Slams I can. I also try and end my turns in alter-ego as much as possible and take advantage of Focused Rage any chance I get. Doing so lets me better decide my hit point level for Gama Slams. The two cards I think are key for this is Split Personality and Legal Practice. Split Personality - This is the definition of churn and burn. Always use it to flip down to alter-ego size to draw those 6 cards. Legal Practice - At the end of every turn, I'm dumping my hand regardless of what I'm holding because the goal is to churn through the deck as fast as possible, so you need to draw as many cards per turn as possible. This is where Legal Practice becomes an Allstar. On turns where I don't have Legal Practice, I'm going to be dumping cards for no value some turns. Here, I'm either starting in alter-ego form, in which case I'm going to dump anything I don't plan on using on my hero side. Or ending my turn in alter-ego form and dumping anything I have left. Since I'm using Legal Practice, I'm removing threat. Even if I'm ditching 2 cards, that is still 1 threat removed that wouldn't have been if I didn't have Legal Practice in hand. Don't sleep on Legal Practice, it doesn't draw a lot of attention to itself, but it will quietly do a lot of work.
I think Superhuman Law Division is really the all-star here, but Legal Practice is also key. Being able to thwart in Alter Ego allows She-Hulk to spend a lot of time there which helps ensure she doesn't fall behind heroes with better hero hand size. It means that you can start Alter Ego, swap to Hero, and safely Split Personality to end your turn in Alter Ego. Honestly She Hulk is one of my favs. She's not the strongest but with the high health tribals from SP//DR's pack and more ways to use her 3 ATK now she's not bad at all.
I modified my She-Hulk deck: I duplicated 1 Gamma Slam and 1 Split Personality and pasted them over both Legal Practices. I also changed Ground Stomp to: Cost X. "Hero Action: Choose X enemies -> Deal X damage to those enemies." This way I can really enjoy She-Hulk.
That's actually a decent rework of the card. My way of reworking Legal Practice would be to make it cost resources instead of cards discarded. Makes it much more usable with stuff like double resource cards and Quincarrier
We did a slightly different take on She Hulk. We made Gamma Slam an upgrade which starts in play (kinda like Valkyrie's Death Glow) and still costs 4. When you use it, it goes out of play. Then we added text on Legal Practice that if you max it out by discarding 5 cards, you bring Gamma Slam back in play.
There are a lot of keywords where they havent done anything with. Attorney with She Hulk, King with Black Panther, Gamma for the Gamma Peeps, Soldier has many many heroes with it but there are like 1 or 2 cards that help them but its barely touched. Id love if they just put out a support pack which can flesh out old keywords and breathe new life into old heroes in new ways
She-Hulk was the first Hero to use Health as a resource. With 2 "Focused Rage" in play she has an effective hand size of 6 in hero form as long as you can manage her health. I would also point out that with 2 "Focused Rage" in play it helps you set-up as well as find that "Gamma Slam" sooner. Like the other core box heroes, there are some clunker cards, but it is a good sign that they all still hold up these many years later. Enjoyed the video, please keep doing them.
I totally agree about misunderstanding She Hulk. I have her in Justice now with a "heal tank" deck, using Endurance, Downtime, Recuperation, Crew Quarters, and Great Responsibility. Now she's one of my favorites in multiplayer. She can heal for 15 on one flip.
She-hulk has become one of my favorite hero despite all the new characters. I don’t know why despite most of her card being super unoptimal. Also, Hellcat is such a good card because being able to thwart 2 twice and getting an extra resource if needed is so good.
She-Hulk is one of my favourites. I love playing her in almost strictly Alter-Ego mode. I only flip to Hero when I have a Split Personality, so I can go Hero and then flip right back down to Alter-Ego. It’s a weird strategy and makes her feel entirely unique.
Very good and helpful video, thanks! 🙏 I only played her once and that was years ago, going to try her again as aggression soon, teamed up with my friend’s Captain America justice 💪😁
I haven't played her yet. she looks very cool. I am hoping you keep going with this series. I find it very interesting for someone who just got into the game recently.
I only recently started playing Marvel Champios (having played alot of LotR LCG), so only use the core set and Colossus (I like to use one new hero and cards at a time, so Shadowcat is next). Anyways, I really like She-Hulk. She does struggle with thwarting, but I have a lot of fun with her, using leadership or justice.
I don't like a lot of her kit, but I still really enjoy playing her. I don't think over ever gotten a Gamma Slam off, since I'm not willing to pay for it for less than about 10 damage and that's so hard to line up. For split personality, you laid out the best case scenario, I often struggle with the decision to use it when I have it at the beginning of an alter ego turn. It's not obvious that I should flip to hero and back to alter to get the value from it, but have back to back scheme turns.
She Hulk has a fantastic Hero/Alter Ego card, but her kit is absolutely horrible. Legal Practice is garbage. Split Personality is situational. Focused Rage is too expensive. Gamma Smash is only good when you are on the verge of death. I love playing her, but I find myself throwing away her identity cards to fund her Aspect cards. She runs great in Honed Technique Aggression powered by Quincarrier.
Half her cards are garbage but I love playing her yet. She is a lot of fun and with 1.5 update (on Superhuman strength) she gets to 7 attack fairly easily and can destroy almost all minions easily.
I feel SP//dr pack made her better. She is one of my more played heroes since that release when not playing Mutants. Twerk builds is what I call'em with constant readies, the only fun thing I've gotten from the dumpster fire Disney has created with Marvel and Star Wars...
I’ve played most of the heroes and she hulk is easily my least favorite. Really don’t like her. So many bad kit cards. The card that allows her to ready is annoying because it requires a basic attack, which means if you got exhausted by a treachery or if you need to defend then that card is now a dead card in your hand. I don’t get why people enjoy her
Worst in the corebox. I really dislike her kit. She is first heavy alter-ego oriented hero which is cool, but the execution... you are using mostly her hero/alter-ego card and... aspect cards.
Speaking of the attorney keyword, we need a daredevil hero pack.

Gee, I wonder which hero from Marvel is well know for being a lawyer.
Maybe when/if the Daredevil hero comes out he will also have Attorney supports that She-Hulk can use 😊

Crossing my fingers for an attorney trait related aspect card for when they release Daredevil.
