"Multi-millionaire Jai Mehta supports many charitable organizations and one day visits a deaf and dumb school, he falls in love with the teacher there, Tia Sharma. He expresses his love to her but she is already engaged with Raj and marries him soon. A heart broken Jai takes to alcohol and one night under the influence of alcohol, Jai's car collide with Raj and Tia's car mysteriously killing Raj and seriously injuring Tia about the head. Tia is treated by doctor, recovers but is unable to remember anything from her troubled past. Jai makes it his responsibility to take care of her, slowly she falls in love with him and proposes marriage. But will this marriage take place or will Tia remember her past and take revenge from Jai?

Amazing how actors like Arjun Rampal create that magical wold of love and romance through their excellent, believable acting. I really wanted to believe that he or the other actor will get married to Ash, because the romance between two guys and one girl was real. Was this good acting or did they dated each other afterwards? Wow wee film. I can’t get enough of the songs. Indian cinema always made great film and great songs and lucky for the producers, they have handsome men and women in India who join the film industry. Great. Thank you for this film.

I know this movie since my teenage but I didn't understand hindi. Today 22nd May 2022 I watched it with English subtitles and it's really an amazing movie, full of emotions. Arjun and Ash won my heart. again.

I watch arjun, preity, mahima in " dil hai tumhaara" the storyline are very simple & very emotional & their act are amazing.
Things like marriage proposals were often the norm in real life in the 20th century and earlier even when a person was in a relationship. In this case, Jai didn't know about Raj to begin with. Also Raj and Tia weren't married yet. Jai didn't continue to pursue Tia after she married Raj. That would have been wrong and disrespectful. People used to say that a faint heart never won fair maiden. That if you wanted to be with the one you love that you never give up trying to win their love. It used to be considered a romantic compliment to be pursued. Sadly this is now considered scary, creepy stalking. Times, people and courting rituals have certainly changed and not completely for the better. In Tia's case she wasnt engaged or married to Raj when Jai fell in love with her at first sight, and yes there is such a thing as love at first sight. If Raj had decided he didnt want to marry her. Then she probably would have accepted Jai.But Raj truly loved her and Jai did too. If she had been a gold digger she'd have accepted Jai's proposal and told Raj to get lost. Instead Tia truly loved Raj no matter how poor he was or that they would be and that probably caused Jai to love her even more. Sadly he has to live with his own guilt over Raj's death, but Raj will be happy to know that his family is well provided for. Jai didnt mean to cause Raj's death.

As much as i loved this movie years back im watching it nowadays again and im stunned how much entitlement both father and son have it blows me away... it never struck me as such , but now older and for better or worse wiser ... not just the entitlement as well the gaslighting is out of any normal scale...
hahaahhaha literally. It was emotional manipulation and blackmail 😂😂😂 They could've given the mom and daughter lots of money to move somewhere new and left their life. Although I think the main guy character wasn't really entitled. He didn't want to marry her out of his own guilt but she loves him so why punish her too for the crime he committed?

I watched it in 2020 & now end of the movie...l m reading the comments...such a great movie..dill ko chhuuu liya ...l was thinking that Tia will hate jaii after knowing about her past ...bt she couldn't remembere her past & she accepted him....🤧😥😥😥😥

In many ways the part of Tia's soul that loved Raj made the journey into the afterlife with Raj, along with all of their memories. While the part of her spirit that remained with her human form and her mind was restored, as a clean slate, so that she could begin again fresh with Jai, without anger, hate or bitterness. She and Raj were meant to have Anshu together, but Jai was meant to finish the journey of life with Tia and Anshu and perhaps they even give Anshu a sibling.

Why is everybody in the comments saying this is beautiful movie? Actually it’s the creepiest movie I’ve ever seen. Ajai didn’t know anything about her and somehow he decided she must marry him and acted hurt when she didn’t love him back. On top of that he caused the death of TWO people, why wasn’t him send to jail? But if that wasn’t enough he takes advantage of the fact that she’s sick and her mother has no options, so he can finally stay with her and the son of the man HE KILLED.
