Interesting thing about shredders, no one seems to repair them. Parts are about 1/3 the cost of a new one. Unfortunately they're throw aways when they do fail. Good video. Power switch is the weak link on a Fellowes shredder.
It's even better than that. I never did do the 3 year review and now we're coming up on the 4 year mark. Still running like a top! We use it every day.
I currently have a fellowes lx micro cut shredder 20 sheet capacity. It works pretty good and shreds all kinds of junk documents and junk mail and cards that me and my family don't use. Pretty tough shredder can power through anything 💪
Great video... i shredder the same things with my shredder... that magazine paper is thinner than #20 paper ... it will shred 17 sheet of regular stock. I’m looking to buy a 24-30 sheet next... I also shred the windows envelopes with no problem
man it whent yellow for that post card, my LX22M will practically suck down a news paper if i feed it right. this thing seems slow, i can ram rod like 3 or 4 or 5 unopened envelops usually with fake credit cards all in at once. i think this things issue is the IR setup.
I have had this shrrdder for about 5+ years and just last month I can't get it to turn on. The power button sticks when I push it on,, but no power is delivered to the unit. I'm so sad, any suggestions?
Ours is about that old too and we are also having a bit of trouble with the power button. I haven't taken a good look at it yet but I'll probably have to take it apart to address the issue. Also, I did just notice that they are selling these again on Amazon. Might just get a new one. It's totally worth it! In my opinion.

This is a great video! I'm looking to get a new shredder and this review was very informative (more than some of the reviews I've seen).
You will be very happy with this shredder. It has actually been many more years now and it's still going strong!
excellent follow-up video.
saw your previous ones, thanks for the effort to share and inform us how good this model is :)

wow, that is very impressive, and thanks again for the update :)

Is it that shredder that remarkable or just followes brand shredded in general that a remarkable?
Oh this is just a pretty good one. Not the bottom of the line model.
Thank you for the very informative review.
Can you put a video up on how to oil the shredder thank you.
You just drip a line right into the top as you run it.
works and looks wonderful
Just tuned in after watching both videos. Great job! We will be purchasing a Fellowes as well. Just wondering if your 99Ci is still up and running?
Yes! It still works!
Thanks for this - it would be helpful if you had a db (decibel) sound meter reading as well.
why?
The down-votes are from the "Food & Family" publishing company....
They actually do that on accident from getting ruined by bad weather
You shoukd receive commission from Fellowes :)
I'm thinking of doing the same kind of review on my marraige
06:20 I wonder if some epoxy would fix your caster mount?
my work has that same shredder
maybe a noctua fan would cool it down
how often do you oil it?
Only about every few months.
It seems it did not outlast the third year :-)
It's actually coming up on it's 4th year, and it's running just fine. We use it every day.Should I do a 4 year review?
please do 4 year review
u2dva haha thought I was the only one watching this right now. Do a 4 year! I just purchased this shredder.
I want the fellowes 99ci
I saw recently that they are back in stock on Amazon.
