I say this in all earnesty and am not trolling at all, but you are one cool dude. You're entertaining to listen to and know what you're talking about. Good stuff!
The other advantage with a Chukka boot is that an older gentleman can sport a pair of these and still look respectable and not ridiculous. In other words , this boot can cover all age groups. No wonder it is so popular.
Here in the U.S., those Red Wing Chukkas were really popular with warehouse workers, maintenance guys, landscapers, mechanics and handymen back in the days and can still be seen at those job sites to this today
@@Bootlosophy I wear 13D size sandal of Clark’s but many RW owners are telling me to go half or full size down in 3141.. can you please help as there is no RW store in my country..

Love my Oro-Iginal Chukkas. If you ever get a chance to visit the store in Red Wing, highly recommended! Grew up 45 mins away from there and would go there for fun. The size 260+ 877 is crazy to stand next to. Thank you for your review!
G'day, how ya' goin'? Subscribed! Hello from a snowy Minnesota, just down the road from Red Wing. Just received my first pair of 10877's last week ... of the 11 pair in my RW collection, the ass-kickers of the lot! Thanks for the excellent channel!
Nice review. I’ve always liked the work chukkas, but I needed a safety toe for my “real” work boots. Now that I’m transitioning away from the one doing the manual labor to one that’s consulting, teaching, leading, etc. these would probably work well for me.
As regards sizing I'm a size 10 US in Iron Ranger but had to size up 11 US in the work chukkas. 3141 work chukkas. US 10 was way too tight. The other thing to watch is you might need a shoe horn to get into them even after sizing up. Great work on the reviews Teik.

@@InnerLifePhotography After purchasing I would only size a half down on the 3141s from your sneaker size. I'm an 8.5 and the 8s were so comfy right out of the box, but I imagine would loosen up quite a bit once they broke in. Maybe a whole size down if you want a tighter fit and are prepared for a mean break in. I'm breaking in a 7D right now and while painful for the first hour or so they are now just snug and opening up, but I am wearing a very thin sock with them at the moment.
Same. I usually wear a size 22, but had to move up to a size 13 to leave enough room for my toes. I found in I loosen the shoe strings and spread the shoe wide, that’s it easier to slide my foot in.
Hello, Love your videos . I have these chukka in Bria oil color. I worn them for about 4 yrs now almost every days to work. I’m in Sales. It took a month or so to really break them in. But since they are the most comfortable boots I’ve owned. I have 2 pairs of Parkhurst- Allen’s . Love them too. Note in sizing. I’m the same as. You a 8 in service boots and 8.5 in sneakers. BUT these boots I sized up to. 9. Andrew (Parkhurst) was surprised to hen I told him . But they fit and feel wonderful.
I'm an 8.5 as well and I have a pair of weekenders from red wing in 7D and after a rough break in period they fit amazingly. Didn't realize the work chukkas were built on a narrower last and after getting the 7Ds online I was kicking myself! They are tight! Slowly loosening up though with daily wear and by the time they're broken in I suspect they will fit like a firm handshake!
I work at a hardware store on concrete for up to ten hours a day, I’ve got a pair of their shop Mocs in Hawthorne. They have all the advantages of the Classic Moc, but the shorter shoe is more comfortable for what I do, I’m kneeling a lot. I’ve simply come to realize, in a practical sense, I benefit from a shoe that’s built like a boot, or maybe a boot that’s scaled down to a shoe is more apt. The Hawthorne Shop Moc now that it’s broken in, which took sone real effort, it’s great. Unfortunately, it’s so damned nice a shoe, I find myself not wanting to see them destroyed at work. I’m thinking about getting a pair in black. It’s good to have a couple pairs of go to shoes to rotate through anyway. This Work Chukka, it’s caught my eye. I’ve never been big into the Chukks aesthetic, but I’d have said the same regarding a Classic Moc a few months ago as well. Red Wing’s Heritage line is defibsteky worth looking into, you do need to allow for long break in period, it’s all good at the finish line
I’m a residential house painter so I’m looking for a very lightweight boot to wear in peoples homes. Something very comfy that won’t track mud but will last a long time.

Job Inspectors, Construction Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects and others who go out on Construction projects but don't necessarily use tools like these boots. Excellent video!
I have this in the briar oil slick and love them. Got them last Christmas and it is the shoe I wear the most. My one complaint is that for me, the sides of the white outsole gets dirty almost instantly every time I wear them. I can clean them with soapy water and a scrubby pad pretty easily but still…
Another great video. I have a pair of these in the briar oil slick and love them. They’re a half uk size bigger than my other Red Wings. Unfortunately the outsole regularly pulls away from the midsole at the toe. I’m forever sticking them back together. Having done some research I’ve found that it’s a fairly common problem with the chukka.

Red Wing bread and butter and most sales from their work boot line which in this example take the 595 which is the heritage 3139. The 595 is a bonafide work boot. Not a kick around boot. A carpenter, janitor, light duty work, cabinet makers etc
