That was after the United States bombed the North into submission and forced the North to the negotiating table, otherwise the north was going to be completely annihilated if it didn't come back to the table and agree to the peace treaty, and they knew it. Fact is North Vietnam was 2 weeks away from an unconditional surrender (and they knew that also) so they signed the treaty. Just because the north didn't obeid and honor the Peace Accords broke the agreement and rolled in three years after the US combat forces were pulled out, don't distort the truth. You didn't defeat the United States North Vietnam defeated the Republic of South Vietnam. Yes I have been to Vietnam on several occasions and know the truth not the propaganda. Infact I probably know more about your own country than you.
