I like Blondie and I used to own their first hits collection. I need to buy a newer remastered hits cd and I’ve always loved One Way Or Another and Rapture.
I've heard of Blondie! Parallel Lines was my first. I don't have The Hunter either and I am not sure if I had even heard any tracks from it. Cool video, Steve.

Eat To The Beat is my favorite Blondie album by far. Saw the tour with Nick Lowe opening. The drums 🥁 of Clem Burke are amazing. Accidents Never Happen my favorite song. Lets Go Rangers & Lets Go Knicks. Madison Square Garden is rocking in May !
Now we're talking..lol. I LOVE Blondie. Used to play in a band in high school and we covered many of their songs. Really made me appreciate the great drumming of Clem Burke. Those initial run of albums are fantastic. A band never afraid to take chances and experiment. So much more than just a "punk/pop" band. It didn't always work, but was always worthwhile. So cool that you saw them play Parallel Lines complete. I didn't even know they did that. Wow - Parallel Lines is pretty much a perfect album like you said. Fade Away And Radiate is a favorite of mine. Shayla from Eat To The Beat is my favorite song by Blondie - crank that up loud....I go to heaven. There's a deluxe edition of Eat To The Beat with the complete DVD - the videos are really really basic though. Funny I really like AutoAmerican but yea, I rank that one lower than the other "classic" period albums. I did a video "Treasure or Trash" on The Hunter. Check out the songs English Boys and For Your Eyes Only from The Hunter - fantastic songs. Great video - now I'm gonna go listen to some.....Blondie.
yeh ive seen that CD+DVD set but i hate that you lose the bonus tracks. i really like how chrysalis handled these reissues. i know u know of dramarama but i think you said youve never heard them. clem joined them in early 90s as their drummer. saw him play with them a few times. he’s on their album hifi scifi.
@@STEVEHEROLD I know of Dramarama and like one or two songs, but never bought an album. I had no idea that Clem played with them. He's a monster drummer - out of the Keith Moon school but with great technique. Now I really will check them out. Thanks.
I like how you didn't rank these, starting from the debut instead. I guess Auto American would be ranked last in goodness.. I like it and agree that it really stands up as a quality Blondie album !

Remember that film.. SLC Punk.. That was a good flick. "Poser" would be a great punk rock title for a song. Ours were titled "Live My Way" Distant Waves" and .. "Punk Cowboy"

The first time I saw them was opening up for Iggy Pop in 1977 and the second time was at a "Catch a Rising Star" concert the next year for a $1.00. I was working in a record store when The Hunter came out and it caught me off guard and the record did not sell well at all. I really like the song Maria off No Exit. Blondie Live has been my go to CD lately. Clem Burke is a fantastic drummer, the second coming of early Keith Moon in my opinion. I saw Blondie last summer at a outdoor venue at a casino and at 78, she can still deliver the goods.
damn tarr you always got the live experience locked up. those shows im sure were awesome. aside from maria i havent been able to get into anything ive heard from those post-reunion albums. you?
No, No Exit and Blondie Live ( both released in 1999 ) are the last recodings I have of Blondie which I bought used in the early 2000's used. I really haven't heard too much that I'm into since.
I was born in 1990 but I remember hearing Blondie all the time, not that my parents were fans or anything but I remember hearing Call Me, One Way or Another, Heart of Glass and all the hits alot when I was young. That sound was just iconic. Fast forward to 2018 and I'm working at a new job, they play a radio station there that played those Blondie songs everyday and it kinda reconnected me to Blondie. Fast forward another one or two years and I picked up that same Best of Blondie collection on vinyl at goodwill and I really enjoyed it, so I started to collect the albums. The first two albums are good, but pale in comparison to Parallel Lines. Eat to the Beat is my personal favorite. Autoamerican is good too, I like the song T-Birds. I do have The Hunter, it was actually better than I expected. There is a song on there called Danceaway that I really like. Their newer stuff isn't as good. I love the song Maria but wasn't a fan of the rest of that album. Curse of Blondie and Ghost of Download kinda suck too but I actually kinda like Panic of Girls and Pollinator. Pollinator is definitely the one to check out of their more recent stuff
thanks dude. i might give Pollinator a listen. I’ve heard some other people say it was best of the “new” Blondie. If I ever come across a cheap copy of The Hunter I’d prob pick it up.
@STEVEHEROLD yeah pollinator is the most Blondie like of the newer albums, could fit in with their older catalog. My favorite song on that album is Doom or Destiny... great song
