The GT shifter definitely looks strange to me, considering I'm soo used to the tiptronic version on my 25GT with the buttons on the steering wheel and pushing the shifter to the left to engage tiptronic mode. I always drive in tiptronic so I can utilise engine braking, I guess that's the only reason I wouldn't want to go with full auto. Great video! Learned a few new things I didn't know about the different models. Thanks for taking the time to make these informative videos. There's obviously not many videos out there on the 25GT and 25GTT (mostly GTR content) so I really appreciate your effort and time in making these videos!
Thanks man that means the world to me yes the GTR is king of UA-cam but the gtt’s don’t seem to get much love. Engine work is cool and all but I think it’s important to understand where it’s all come from.
I have owned a HR34 RB20DE NEO factory manual, for 14 years, with lowered suspension and 18" rims and 3" cat back. Import and first NZ owner., it's an awesome car, handles the same as the rest of them with additional strut bar and rear sway bar, brakes work well, easy to maintain and work on. ER34 is the RB25DE and RB25DET version.
Don’t look down on the GT model. Got mine for about a weeks worth of work Did wheels, tyres, adjustable suspension, gtt lsd diff , brake upgrade and it’s a weapon for sliding around and cruising. Has costed me under 3k to do all that work and has been fun learning how to do it all
I just bought a R34 GT Coupe - RB20DE NEO, 4 speed auto. I'm in love with it. I'm gonna manual swap it and put a 25DET NEO in the car one day, can't wait :)
Nice video. I would to suggest adding info from AUTECH Skylines. Having experience in Japan, I can attest that 4-door skylines from the r32 on up were popular. This made the skyline affordable and practical to the average consumer... especially those that could afford a parking spot.
I could have sworn the GTR R-34 Vspec was the most favored skyline on the market not the GTG with a 5 speed manual when I first heard of skylines years ago I never hear anybody say anything about the GTG it was always the GTR R34 V-Spec II or the GTR Nismo Z-Tune were hands down the ones everyone talked about and wanted lol lol who would want a GTG over those
I have a 1999 25gtv sedan non turbo manual. I would say there are a lot of different models here in New Zealand, but are rarely seen. SKYLINE THE WORLD!
according to the chassis and model codes/ names, how can i know the difference between 2 door and four door ones? im looking through auctions right now and im having a hard time discerning between 4 and 2 door models.

Hey man here is the link where I got mine from its cheaper to buy new then what it is from a wrecked GTR www.rhdjapan.com/nissan-oem-rear-red-back-lamp-skyline-r34.html
R34 variants: Exist Some YT/FB/IGer: Not pretty, needs them GTR quarter panels coz it's trend yo! Only GTR the coolest yo! That one kid: *looks at the Impul 543S kit* You don't need them GTR quarter panels to be cool, babe. This Impul is all I have but I'm gonna you look way prettier than those cosplayers. *cue build montage of the Impul ER34*
Haha I love this I need to do a video on the impul ER34 my basis is not all r34’s are GTR’s and the majority of fan boys believe that anything with 4 round lights at the back is a GTR.
@@MidnightMechanics idk maybe it's just me though the BNR34 is my favourite, well blame the second FnF movie and NFSU for that one 😂😂 then I realize that the GT-R was based on the R34 chassis and Nissan was just continuing that tradition ever since Nissan merge Prince into the company and made the first Skyline GT-R, the famous Hakosuka based on the Skyline chassis that time and purposedly built as a high end performance car before new management came and made changes like separate the GT-R from the Skyline and that's why R35 is a GT-R but it's no Skyline. Most JDM here in Sarawak, Malaysia are either came from Brunei or Sabah. There are Skylines but those are rare. There were a few which I saw. There's one R33 sedan, I think. There's this workshop downtown near the waterfront to which I believe the owner owns a sedan R34. I don't know if it's the real one but the tail lights are R34's. Then there's one, coupe but I don't see wide quarter panels but that's probably an ER34. I saw it in Serian when my dad and I went there to attend a dinner party. There's one, to which I believe a genuine BNR32 aka Godzilla was on sale at the local 2nd hand car dealer, near my workplace back a few years ago. Variant is unknown, perhaps a base model but I could be wrong though unless I take a closer look since people put GT-R quarter panels on R32 GTS-T too. And the recent is a BNR33 passed me by on the way home from work some months ago, white just as the R32 GT-R I saw at the dealer. Well, that's just about it. Oh, BTW, there were a few Silvia S15s here too and my city got one genuine AE86 Truneno as well. There's a Mk4 Supra but that was a year ago or so and GT86 as well. This one's no JDM but, recently I saw a Ford Mustang, RHD model on the street. Edit: sorry for the long reply and no paragraphs.
All good man I love hearing about different places and the JDM culture there. It sounds like it’s a small community there and that makes me think that when you do finally see a proper JDM car that it’s pretty amazing for you all. Thanks so much for sharing the car culture from your home.
Hey man you should be looking at either a 25 GT coupe or a 25 GT-t in coupe the GT will be the cheapest but the GTT is turbo. Let me know if this helps.

Great video! You literally took the words out of my mouth about an enr34.
Great video man exactly what I was looking for thank you. In the market to import so yeah very informative.
Your welcome man glad it helps
I’ve got an r34 gtx sedan rwd and it is awesome. Drift car that tows a trailer to the track and home
Oh damn the 4 door looked really weird. Like some Taxi version of the car.
Yeh not many people see the 4 doors unless they are living in a country that has them.
'd love to own a sedan Skyline. Some eyecandies, some practicality.

Awesome video, currently looking for a manual 25GT
Nice video mate .... had no idea they had 4wd 34’s that aren’t GTR’s I’d love to get my hand one of those 👌
Yep definitely not that well known but they are out there happy hunting 🙏🏻
Wonderful video. I'm watchin it taking notes!
Thanks so much I appreciate it

Yeh man they were sold new in New Zealand so there are quite a few going around there. New Zealand was cool like that.
Im trying to buy a certain r34, i dont think it has a turbo but it has the altia red S badge on the grill, which r34s came with this?

Goat for this
Gtr fan🤤
yo mate. whats the difference in the suspension, chassis, diff, wheel fitment on the gt-t vs gtr?
Wait the R-34 was from 1997-2002 not 1998 right did you for get that part or did you not know? Because the 2002 year had the best ones
Will be a good informative video if the volume wasn’t too soft. With full volume i still can barely hear
the GTx4 did come in coupe - made the best GTR clone base as it had the 4wd system.
Buy a GTT for skids
Thx
Your welcome 🙏🏻

I still prefer the two doors skyline

Hey I want a R34 GTR but I don't have the money for one, do you know which one I should get that isn't a 4 door?

You can get the 25 GT four that is 4wd but dose not come with turbo but you can turbo later
