I've watched over 500 kdramas in 12 years and My Dearest ranks at the very top. First of all, the writer who dedicated 5 years in writing this poignant story that she edited 1,000 times till she came to perfection. From that well-written story, the director, producers, the entire cast & production staff gave their heart & soul to put this heart-stirring story to life. Hats off to them all for giving us this magnificent drama, My Dearest.
The princess doesn't know how to love because of her horrible upbringing. Honestly i hope her death will be a swift and painless one , her heart is full of evil . On that note i hope the fl will get more sensible in regards to her feeling for the ml and divorce the husband whom she doesn't love and who is ashamed and lacks love for her . i wish for the ml and fl to live a happy life together but i am expecting their love to go through some more turbulence . JH powerful love for her is unmatched and i truly hope she reciprocates it sincerely. He has gone through enough for her😭😭 im not even sure his toenails have grown back properly yet😭😭😭😭😭 NB: If GC ever hurt JH again , you all gonna see me in this series slapping the hell out of her..lol🏏

If he feels that she humiliated him and all of society knows he could even get her charged and humiliated...her lover heavily punished by the law, her sister shunned and forever denied marriage prospects ,her brother not allowed into any scholarly circles.

I'm on ep 11 goddamit! I watched mr. sunshine 2 years ago and it ruined me. I promised myself I will never watch any heavy drama again so I binge watch romantic comedy kdrama until 3 days ago. I got so bored and decided to watch my dearest coz i've seen a couple of praises in the internet re: story . and what a story it is! but failed to mention it was a sad sad sad 😢😢😢 story! please help me. I do not know if should continue watching. if it doesnt have a happy ending i'll be heartbroken again. 💔
This show is destroying my heart and making me so incredibly furious. I know… I know it’s fiction. But throughout history the way women are treated (and by other women also). Then too filtering that in with lost opportunities because of human error or evil. 😖 😢 being furious while watching what is allegedly entertainment 🥺 it is an odd experience and still I love this show for the possibility of the main relationship portrayed.

As great as Jang Hyun was in this scene I found Gil Chae's indecision so frustrating. I expected her to run away from him to avoid them meeting so he won't be punished, but she just walks slowly. Then when he calls her name, she just stands still and waits for him to catch up to her, rather than running towards him (or at least trying to avoid the psycho princess on the horse). She does somewhat redeem herself in the next scene with the princess, and I've got high hopes for her in ep 15 but I wish she'd been more active and less passive at this moment.
These stories of old are horrendous! Why do they recreate such stories? Is it something to glorify?! These historicals of both the Chinese and Koreans are barbaric. I see no point in watching stupid scenes like this. The historical saga of wars between civilizations or political, economic and natural devastations are all okay and give us a perspective of history, but these minor exagerrated anecdotes speak of modern scriptwriter and audience's obsession with cruelty and barbaric behaviours. Please refrain from projecting such scripts!
This is so beautiful, kudos to the writer, to everyone that was in it. There is nothing wrong with creating such stories, they do that so we can escape reality and dream on.
