Just wondering what the biggest damage number you got with the two tennokai mods you suggested. I’ve been using masters edge with eternal war Valkyr w/max naramon and a supe’d up guandao prime and the biggest number I’ve hit was over 30,000,000 and I’ve straight out annihilate bosses when it procs. Just curious of the comparison.
It’s Star Chart content. You can do Whispers against level 70 non steel path enemies. DE rarely makes story content late game focused. The melee arcanes and new shards are the late game additions for whispers.

As someone who HATES animation locks and slow melee in general (I play Warframe to avoid that), Tennokai is the thing that finally got me using them without feeling gross.
The auto-melee bug can trigger from most things interrupting an attack. I have had it trigger from opening menus and activating terminals. Also I disagree with the "negative" of it being useless against low-level content, because by the time you unlock Tennokai you should already be tackling SP so it helps to ease that progression for people who need that little extra help with their builds.
Discipline's merit removing the rng is good because you can time it for next enemy group. I use it almost exclusively. It brings more strategy to do your gameplay. If you don't need to trigger tennokai to kill stuff you can skip it, but if you want a more tactical way to take down big targets you can stack to 3-4 and then hit the eximus with your free heavy. Kinda nice.
true point that I've experienced a lot, when tennokai procs, very often everything in front of me is already dead, that's even on SP and in netracells. When you do get to use it though, it's very very powerful. You need very high enemy density to make the most of this system.

Disciplines merit is the best and more consistant and if you mod it on your stat stick you get to have eny other tenokai effect on your exalted with the consistancy of merit
Getting constant free heavy slams between red crit spins on my Melee Influence Arca Titron makes me happy. Heavies also help for it's weakness vs Acolytes and other super-heavies. Tennokai doesn't seem to break anything, but it makes me happy anyway.
tennokai is really nice to instagib steelpath tanky enemies with overguard or high dr: murmur hollow vein, demo units, void angel, eximus. or clearing out big groups of trash in one strike when follow through is holding you back. crit chance mods being doubled on heavy attack are insane when combined with +cc +cd rivens.
I dreamer's wrath on my glaive prime build and get procs all the time, even in lower difficulty content. The throw and heavy explosion both count towards getting a proc and it works really well for just free crit damage on the heavy attack.
@@nflhd8678yup, at least from what I can see, just normally using glaive throws and heavy explosion procs Tennokai because I sometimes get chains of multiple in a row from just spam throwing it

Didn’t realize there was a melee bug linked to auto melee. I don’t even use auto melee. Good to know it’s a bug and not my mouse as I had thought. Prior to knowing I was considering replacing my mouse. Thank you for that info.
Discipline's Merit is really being underestimated here. It adds a shitton of consistency, of course it should be used with fast weapons, but you ALWAYS know when you'll get your next Tennokai
My biggest issue with Tennokai is that it moves forward about 5 m in the direction the frame is facing, and since Warframe has no melee lock-on, most of the times while you're swinging you move past your target and have to turn the frame before you can turn the camera (at least on console that's an issue), so the target is somewhat behind your camera, you can't see them, and if you activate Tennokai, you'll do a swing that has a huge chance to miss and will reposition you in a way that (especially coupled with the already troublesome camera) makes the situation very confused. In short, most times it's completely useless.
It sucks against weak enemies? So does any mechanic, that requires some setup. I see tennokai as a way to deal with stronger enemies like eximus, while spamming normal attacks against trash mobs.
I personally like using disciples merit, pairing that up with fast attack speed and melee animosity means i can spam it against high level enemies and deal high damage.
I got the reference from rebecca saying that attack speed doesn't let the animation of the stance shine :D. The video made me understand a bit more about tennokai, I never really cared about it since it was released even though I have all the mods. I usually use the merit one on hate incarnon and it is really good. I also have a lot of issues with auto melee and tennokai not activating. I never had this problem before but now it happens quite often. And when talking about start chart I think going all the way modless is way more fun :D.
Im okay with the fact that tennokai sucks at lower levels, like the incarnons do. It’s a fullproof (almost) way to balance the game, the best weapons are meant to fight the toughest enemies, it sets boundaries giving off meta weapons and new player builds a chance to shine exactly where they should.
I have been using Tennokai since release on Pennant! It’s been a ton of fun for me and I find myself rarely using my Primary now outside of proccing my Arcane Blade Charger
i woudnt call Tennokai bad, it has no opportunity cost, you dont need to change anything about your build to take advantage of it, and if you are running a hybrid build, its just a nice bonus. At worst its neutral.

And honestly for how little benefit it provides, you might be better served by using regular pressure point, whatever floats your boat but tennokai has no opportunity cost except if your modding badly. Also, the only big enemies that are immune to status are Archons, even Acolytes can get pumped full of status effects. There's pretty much no reason to not use CO, specially when nowadays companions like Diriga just primes everything for you.

For this one it's the *Hollow Vein.* Also Bosses in General have Varying degrees of Status Immunity. 4) I would prefer not it be locked to a Single Companion.
it's not really meant for ultra optimized melee use. It's there to make the average tenno with a weapon like the broken war to be more entertained and focused on their melee rather than just holding the melee button and being mindless while also getting a-bit more damage. you also glossed over heavy attack specific weapons like the stropha or agendus which tennokai can make work really well.
I miss the old melee system Warframe had. It used to be weapon switching was a thing and when you switched it took a little time but also when you switched that was the weapon you held until you actively made a switch again. The best thing about that was you could aim glide without auto switching to a ranged weapon and you did not auto block, you had to hold right mouse to block similar to combat with drifter. It was far better than the current instant swap. More fun because you had to plan the switch between melee and ranged weapons depending on situation and switching speed was another factor to playing effectively. But that was just too hard for some players I guess. Tennokai is a really fun idea and would probably work great if old melee system was still being used. As is, I find the window does not register correctly. Probably because of the current instant swap speed.
I have slapped some Tennokai mods on just braindead lightattack spam weapons because I usually get a proc when dealing with an accolyte, and suddenly, no more accolyte even with weapons normally not optimal for dealing with them, and I got to save my 12x combo in the process. It's a handy thing to just slap on if you got the space and forma cuz why not really
I do enjoy doing level cap disruption runs with melee now because of tennokai. With discipline's merit, you will be able to slot in a combo and a tennokai heavy attack (and if u are fast enough 2). For the massive dot or insta kill the demo unit
It is worth noting that the whole "per input" thing is not true for gunblades. If the projectile hits multiple enemies it can proc tennokai faster. With Discipline's Merit, firing into a crowd pretty much guarantees a tennokai every other attack. EDIT: Also, multi hit combos DO count as separate instances (for gunblades). High Noon's neutral combo is two shots for one input, and BOTH can proc tennokai
Tennokai absolutely changes the rapier game, I can do millions of damage with melee animosity and tennokai with a single hit and only like 3x combo multiplier
Actually if you try and heavy attack during a slide it doesn't proc the tennokai attack and counts as regular, and it ends up looking buggy and costing your combo.

It's just like Strun incarnon with weak enemies, if it's too strong only a single pellet will charge the incarnon meter. For me this makes Strun incarnon unsatisfying to play on weaker missions, sometimes even on steel path oneshotting Corpus and Infested with a single pellet on a headshot. But in Tennokai's case to every melee.
This is such a bad take it makes me think you have an axe to grind against DE. Tennokai is a breath of fresh air that benefits heavy attacks you dont need that damage on normal star chart, you dont even have the mods to make it work

You can craft a weapon exilus weapon adapter from getting blueprints from requiem relics and buy a melee arcane adapter for 50k standing from Bird 3. 40p if you don’t want to do that ofc lol but after you get the arcanes you are good to go. Melee Exposure is the only arcane that doesn’t need to be max rank and rank 0 does just fine
Can't you just buy weapon exilus adapter blueprints from like the original syndicates? Takes a forma to build which is eh but it's not (as) RNG or plat
@@Lanaestra yes you can buy them from faction syndicates but those cost 75k standing which takes 3 days to get even at LR4 even longer for people lower than me, but if you dont regularly spend standing then it won’t be too much of a cost. Requiem relics are a most consistent way to get these and don’t have a time gate. They also use one forma and have a 10 plat rush cost, you can build it then rush it and kind of save some plat but you are giving up forma.
Yes, but it is really annoying to build up unless you're auto-attacking, which is still clunky as hell. Multiple bounces don't count for multiple tennokai chances tho, it's somewhat viable but I definitely wouldn't recommend, too slow and boring, spamming heavy attack with initial combo is better

Eeeh idk this is a bad take on tennokai. For the average player not tip riding every meta that drops there are plenty of weapons that use the other mods successfully. Everything about WiW update is about nicheness and the only thing UA-camrs have been showing is the absolute meta. Make a more focused build a genuinely fun build thats not nuking the entire room. A satisfying build that scratches your itch when you want to play the frame. They gave options to make any frame nuke but they gave more options to make any weapon truly viable again balancing the scales. Warframes insane rn. Primaries melting sticks. Secondaries wax off. Melee delete button. Its not fun for you guys because u dont let things have the difficulty its meant to have. U min max until your an immortal walking bleeding nuclear bomb . Thn shit on anything that doesnt add to it thats a bad mentality imo. Its all love tho jx the rant of the day keep up the content jx bad take impo😊
New Prime weapons nowadays kinda mid, he's right they are MR fodder. If u still like to use those weapon go build crit, multishot and corrosive with the 60% radiation mod.
@@Okina-Kev I'd say... It should live true to its name. Make incarnon mode summon a dragon on heavy attacks that flies around the user a number of times equal to the combo counter and dealing 360° AoE damage. So at 12 times combo, the dragon will deal 12 instances of damage

@WR3CKL355_CAMP3R oh... lol im console, too. If heavy auto triggered on tennokai, that would be terrible, though. Try switching your context button with heavy. It takes a little getting used to, but I think it's better and really the only legitimate option to switch
It's a zaw, there's no such weapon by that name. Zaws are basically melee weapons you get to mix and match yourself in Cetus by mixing different links, handles and blades that the game offers you. The stats each part provides is fairly different so you can make your own weapon. There's a few good guides about them out there and they're actually really strong if you build them right, plus you get to name the melee afterwards.
I completely forgot you can rename weapons with plat, but what I said still stands, some other comments and replies mention which weapon that is, I keep forgetting the name, look through them and you'll find it. More people have asked
well grendel is pretty bland. You can slap nourish on almost any warframe and they become 10x better than grendel. Oh you want to have that insane amount of health? Inaros with nourish. Nidus with nourish. Kullervo with nourish.

But in addition to nourish, he has 4 ability that completely removes armor and does a lot of damage. Just put a something instead of 3 and be happy. by your logic, we can say that any frame is bad, because "you can seed a nourish on Inaros."
His best ability can be given to other warframes and armor stripping is given out like candy. If armor stripping was rare, if it was hard to stay alive on other frames, and if other frames weren’t so effective nukes compared to him then he’d be better.
Hello, melee weapons can be renamed at Hok in Cetus. You can rename them to whatever you want at the cost of 15 platinum. As for which weapon he renamed, I have not played in a while but based on my research it's the Tenet Livia two hand Nikana. I could tell because it's level 40, and the only weapons (to my knowledge) that can level to 40 are the Paracesis, and weapons from Lichs and Sisters after using 5 forma on them. The Tenet Livia specifically comes from Ergo Glast's shop in relays. Hope this helps

Missed one good tennokai mod. The plain jane one from the quest is nice on weapons with really little capacity to spare. For instance, it's the only one my Wu staff had the capacity to use.

There is a fix to the auto melee: make scroll up your melee button. No more holding the button and you can still attack fast just by scrolling fast.
I don't think Tennokai was intended for low tier gameplay, considering it only unlocks after Whispers in the Walls

Especially if you combine discipline's merit and Opportunity's Reach on exalted Weapons... It gets pretty crazy.

I can finally use Arca Titron viably in steel path and I've never been happier. It doesn't even matter if the enemy has armor

That’s what I use on my Innodem and it’s crazy good. When you get the rhythm down you can output so much damage.
i use it with ceramic daggar to keep my 12x combo while heavy attacking. really beefy

Doesnt happen to me. Options maybe melee tracks target or something. Gotta check when im home

Tennokai is just fun to use honestly. I use it with your Voruna+Syam build, works great
Syam goes so hard with Tennokai. It's the most anime I've ever felt in this game
Its fun on Garuda's talons or Baruuk's desert wind, give it time to build up combo, or mod to achieve high combo, and watch the crits unfold.

The last 2 days not only tennokai is bugged sometimes but Xoris heavy attack too, most of the times do not register heavy input explosion.
What is the “blood-starved beast” melee weapon? Is it a Zaw?
It's a pretty nice upgrade for Hysteria Valkyr since you don't have status abuse or busted arcanes available on her.

Tenno kai procs for me pretty frequently. Sometimes it'll happen when i don't really need it to.

Actually if you try and heavy attack during a slide it doesn't proc the tennokai attack and counts as regular, and it ends up looking buggy and costing your combo.

It's just like Strun incarnon with weak enemies, if it's too strong only a single pellet will charge the incarnon meter. For me this makes Strun incarnon unsatisfying to play on weaker missions, sometimes even on steel path oneshotting Corpus and Infested with a single pellet on a headshot. But in Tennokai's case to every melee.
Does fang prime work with the dagger armor stripping? Or because its duel daggers its different?

TK should be innate on all melee, give a charge not a window, and mods should be tier 3 arcanes that you could use but theres always something better

You can craft a weapon exilus weapon adapter from getting blueprints from requiem relics and buy a melee arcane adapter for 50k standing from Bird 3. 40p if you don’t want to do that ofc lol but after you get the arcanes you are good to go. Melee Exposure is the only arcane that doesn’t need to be max rank and rank 0 does just fine

@@Lanaestra yes you can buy them from faction syndicates but those cost 75k standing which takes 3 days to get even at LR4 even longer for people lower than me, but if you dont regularly spend standing then it won’t be too much of a cost. Requiem relics are a most consistent way to get these and don’t have a time gate. They also use one forma and have a 10 plat rush cost, you can build it then rush it and kind of save some plat but you are giving up forma.

Yes, but it is really annoying to build up unless you're auto-attacking, which is still clunky as hell. Multiple bounces don't count for multiple tennokai chances tho, it's somewhat viable but I definitely wouldn't recommend, too slow and boring, spamming heavy attack with initial combo is better

I go nuts , no matter which Melle I've tried the second swing consume all my combo regardless the tennokai mod , even with the plus second window . The whole world talking about free heavy attacks man PLS someone help IAM about to uninstall.
Tennokai gives you one free heavy attack that doesn’t consume combo. If you heavy attack again after that it’s going to use up your combo.
Personally I only use heavy atk and that what I wanted it for not to go have to do normals just to build up the icon I’ll pass it’s useless for me

Eeeh idk this is a bad take on tennokai. For the average player not tip riding every meta that drops there are plenty of weapons that use the other mods successfully. Everything about WiW update is about nicheness and the only thing UA-camrs have been showing is the absolute meta. Make a more focused build a genuinely fun build thats not nuking the entire room. A satisfying build that scratches your itch when you want to play the frame. They gave options to make any frame nuke but they gave more options to make any weapon truly viable again balancing the scales. Warframes insane rn. Primaries melting sticks. Secondaries wax off. Melee delete button.

@@Okina-Kev I'd say... It should live true to its name. Make incarnon mode summon a dragon on heavy attacks that flies around the user a number of times equal to the combo counter and dealing 360° AoE damage. So at 12 times combo, the dragon will deal 12 instances of damage

It's a zaw, there's no such weapon by that name. Zaws are basically melee weapons you get to mix and match yourself in Cetus by mixing different links, handles and blades that the game offers you. The stats each part provides is fairly different so you can make your own weapon. There's a few good guides about them out there and they're actually really strong if you build them right, plus you get to name the melee afterwards.
I completely forgot you can rename weapons with plat, but what I said still stands, some other comments and replies mention which weapon that is, I keep forgetting the name, look through them and you'll find it. More people have asked

Hello, melee weapons can be renamed at Hok in Cetus. You can rename them to whatever you want at the cost of 15 platinum. As for which weapon he renamed, I have not played in a while but based on my research it's the Tenet Livia two hand Nikana. I could tell because it's level 40, and the only weapons (to my knowledge) that can level to 40 are the Paracesis, and weapons from Lichs and Sisters after using 5 forma on them. The Tenet Livia specifically comes from Ergo Glast's shop in relays. Hope this helps

Missed one good tennokai mod. The plain jane one from the quest is nice on weapons with really little capacity to spare. For instance, it's the only one my Wu staff had the capacity to use.
