What u just did is 10x better than what they sell. I had a hard time finding floor braces for my 60. 59 60 convertible have 2 pairs of braces that aren't remade or sold. So what these places call the front, is the front on hard tops. Not convertible. I ended up with some rears that I didn't need that I was eventually able to sell, at a loss. And the rear ones they make aren't for convertibles. It's a racket. I feel your pain.
Be thankful you chevy guys can actually get body panels for your cars.......im a full size pontiac guy....nothing is made for them.....couple things here and there but you pretty much have to make everything.....
Manufacturers usually call the “Middle” rocker the Rocker Reinforcement. They should have been more clear! I would have been super pissed off. Deal with this type of thing at work all the time. Love the videos! 👍🏼
I concur that you should build it out of heavier stock. Because if you order that inner outer in inner panel you will be like wtf!!! It’s made of tin foil!! I build my own, didn’t regret it help with the hydros.
There’s a z shape reinforcement plate inside the inner and outer, I seen a guy on UA-cam make his own, he just got a piece of the original and had someone bend it exact

Carbureted small block. Ended up selling the 59. Took too many man hours.
