I just do not understand Sirloin steaks going for 31.99 a kg, I always get the same steak , In Canada , Nanaimo for years now at $22 a KG. How can they ship to Nanaimo and sell and make money? All other local Canadian beef is up to 55 or kg . Don't understand
It’s disgusting Just like the milk situation They tell us the high price is because of world market prices and have all the excuses under the sun. Seems to me the real cost to us is that we are partially subsidising other countries prices and it needs to stop We should protest against this deceitful practice IMO
Insane prices. $30 dollars a kilo for steak.... And that's on discount from $35 dollars a kilo. I live in Asia, our currency is about 3x weaker than NZD, and we only pay about $16 per kilo for steak, which if you convert foreign exchange comes up to between $5 to $6 NZD. And cows aren't even native in our country, we mostly import.
@@LoloDanNZ yeah milk is ridiculously expensive in my country too. Between $4-$6 bucks for just 1 litre. I cut it out of my diet and stopped drinking it entirely. I have some powdered almond milk just in case.

Everything is expensive here in New Zealand , milk for example which is produced in millions of litres by tha dairy industry.
