Excellent detailed review! Get a lot of bang for your buck for $50k. Is the 25' Sportage SX Prestige next in line for a review? Keep up the great work!
And for the Top rim level - They should have included a Power adjustable steering column. In my test drive the other day - I felt the telescoping steering coumn did NOT come out far enough leaving me looking to "reach out" a bit. I'm 5'10". I will to test drive the NON PHEV HYbrid. The PHEV I tested last week as on the lot and the battery was not charged up, so it pretty much ran with the 1.6 Turbo engine w/o EV boosts. It was Laggy and noisier than the No Hybrid. The MPGs are Inviting tho.
I'm planning to get a Mercedes GLC, but I really like the looks of this car. How does the ride quality compare? Is it as quiet and comfortable as the GLC? Coz if it is, I'd rather get this one
Thanks for Review. Bought the Prestige HEV. I call it "Peppy!" When you want power that will put you back in your seat, you have it (actually a safety feature: to get out of the way of the Crazies). The Kick is available in city or highway driving. I've enjoyed all the Safety Features. Interior is fabulous. We have the Dusty Blue interior with a Silver exterior: The prettiest light Silver I've ever seen. In some lighting, it looks white. We drive the car with Row 3 down for Cargo space, but Row 3 available when needed. Best of both worlds: seating and cargo. Also surprising is how much of our driving is off the Battery Engine! When I fill it with gas, it projects over 557 miles of driving. We also have appreciated the great AC in summer heat. Got to love that huge Infotainment System. Parking is great with the 360 degree surround view. I can park as exactly as I desire. It is the perfect car for our family (wife and me). KIA knocks it out of the Park with this vehicle. Thanks, KIA!
Our choices came down to the KIA Sportage and the Sorento. We sat in both cars several times. The deciding factor was the feel of the "room" in each. The Sportage definitely had a "close" feeling in both cabin space to the side and also above. It felt a little closed in. On the other hand, the Sorento was SPACIOUS! Wide to the sides, with uplifting head room! Distinctly better for interior space than the Sportage. With the Sorento, we also got the extra Third Row. The two cars are almost the same length (if you line them both up in the parking lot-this stunned me, so I showed the Sales Manager at the dealership, and he was surprised too; he had to check the lengths twice to believe it!) So, if you want a more compact model, go with the gorgeous Sportage. If you want room in cabin, number of seats, and Cargo space, go with the Sorento. Both are Great Cars from KIA! 2025 is a Banner Year!
I,totally agree. I just got the sorento this week. I wanted sportage in first place but when I tried it it was too tight for me. Seat felt not comfortable. The sorento however, felt very spacious and made me relax. Both are really good. I am so happy with my sorento and kids are too. Commented from canada
One thing I learnt from this channel - once you press the rear hatch close button, you need to get out of the way quick, so you don't get doofed in the head. Apparently all cars have this problem.😄
At 5:30, is there interior ambient lighting? Either in the strip across the ya for or the snake scales by the handle? Would really be nice to do a short night review or night drive. Maybe I’m the only one but I love me a nice night drive in a high end vehicle. Thinking about making the purchase so would love to hear your reply and maybe a quick vid
This review was so detailed and good, I went out and bought the exact same model and color combo! You knew more than 90% of the sales reps I met with. Thanks again, I love the vehicle and so many people have complimeted me on the blue exterior, especially after I had it professionally detailed. Got it brand new from a dealer in MD for $6k+ below msrp, OTD! THANKS AGAIN !!! Super luxurious ride and features. The Lexus version of this is $20k+ more, lol
Could You Please tell me who the MD Dealer was?? This Sorento is very inviting to me - I'm a 73 YO retired guy (and a retired wife too!!) . The features of this car seems to suit me very well - mostly local Suburban driving with occassioanl longer trips for family Visits. Appreciate youir honest opinions now that you have owned one for some weeks. I would be replacing my 22 MDX Advance - lease expiring now. I really like my MDX and a new 25 is spectacular BUT 23 Average MPGs and $20K more !
Live rear camera = no go. Trunk button = Why did they put it in a place that is very uncommon under th tailgate like that? Wtf...? Smart lift gate = most obscure way to get it to work... Interior Dash = passenger side looks plain and funky. Weird shelf that juts out where dust and grime will collect
At that price you would expect to get the Heads Up Display. My much cheaper Mazda has it. I don't know why Kia and Hyundai aren't putting it on more of their vehicles. It's not even available on the Sportage or Tucson. I will not buy a vehicle that doesn't have it. It's one of those things that you never knew you needed until you have had a vehicle with it.
Rather than an "enormous Moon Roof," It is a Sun Roof . . . and it IS enormous. Largest in the industry (as far as I've seen). One of the "must have" features when I shopped for my new car. I live in the Mountains of Utah, so opening the roof to the view will be spectacular in Fall Canyon Driving!
Dude you are the auctioneer of car reviews! The info just flows, great work!
Dude! You sure pack a lot of detailed info about this Sorento Hybrid in one Review! Wow, and Well Done!

Thanks for another great review. IMO, it's a great buy for the money.
FANTASTIC Review!
Great review.
Thanks for watching! Hit the subscribe button if you’re new and stay tuned for tomorrow’s review of the 2025 Kia Soul LX Tech!
I keep my eyes open for that video Will.
How does the lane centering and adaptive cruise compare to GM SuperCruise?
Good review & I will love to buy this one day.
All it’s missing is a Heads-Up Display like the top trim Carnival. Was really hoping it would have it for 2025 but nope.

So the question is:
Plug in
Or
Trading hybrid?
The paddle shifters do not control the transmission. They control the regenerative braking.

This vehicles looks more stylish than the Honda CRV touring with all the modern and plush touches.
Different class. Pilot and Sorento are the same class. CR-V and Sportage are the same class.
2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid HEV SX AWD Prestige!
The Digital Rear View Mirror is stunning. It's Wide View is an impressive safety feature. I always have it selected.
Just bought this exact one last week, so far I like it
were you able to get it at MSRP or was there any markup ? dealers near my place are charging 7K markup on top of MSRP !
@@madhankumar2051 MSRP was right around 48, maybe 49. I got it for 47 OTD including T3

The second row seat is bummer. long trip wouldn't be conformable. like seating in the airplane. Would be grat if having an option with the banch seat
Does it have ambient lighting at night?
No 😢
you can buy an add on kit
