    Those "tuning inductors" are actually IF transformers I expect. Thanks for showing this great piece of kit !

    Well .. try pressing "Sense" when maximum signal is obtained when rotating the loopstick antenna ... also make sure the telescopic whip is extended when you do this. Let us know what you observe ...

    I have a 60s Era Bendiix portable direction finding radio my dad used on his boat in the Chesapeake Bay, out of Annapolis. Do you have any information on it. Thank you.

    Mine has Benmar, Div. of C. E. C. I believe it was made by a Japanese company called Koden.

    How can it work without finding a null when it is 180 degrees?

    Hello. Is there a chance you have a copy of the schematic diagram for your Navigator 555?
