Masila 'o Kalifonía (a name given by HRH Princess Pilolevu of Tonga) is speaking about her island of Niuafo'ou, the northernmost island in the Kingdom of Tonga. Masila’s real name is Kolotita Mataele Fineasi.
Masila was seven years old when her family left Niuafo’ou for Tongatapu (main island of Tonga) because of the violent 1946 volcano eruption. At the time most of the inhabitants of Niuafo'ou were forced to evacuate. Masila is now residing with her family in California, USA.
