Lesson 1 of 7: Preserving Affordable Multifamily Housing
This training is designed for owners of properties with HUD mortgages and/or rental assistance. Senior level executive management company staff charged with asset management of HUD multifamily properties are also welcome. This training will focus on properties with HUD insured or Direct loans (including Section 236, Section 221(d)(3) and Section 202 properties) and/or project-based rental assistance (Section 8 and/or Rent Supplement or RAP assistance). This training outlines some of the current challenges to providing affordable housing and the importance of continuing or establishing trainee participation in HUD programs. The training also describes the potential benefits available to participants through HUD programs, opportunities, and options. Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to perform the necessary tasks to engage with HUD to renew their participation in existing programs and/or enroll in a new HUD program.
