Unpopular maybe but I think Robert Sanchez has an excellent passing range, he was actually very good when he was playing for Brighton, he literally started attacks with a single pass but he had some difficulty with RDZ which ultimately resulted in him becoming the 3rd choice, I just think he isn’t as bad as people make him out to be. He does have some mistakes in him truth to be told, but I think he will suit the Maresca system. I know all these sound rubbish after his Arsenal mistakes but I’ll still keep him for one more season to see where this goes.
I’m no fan of football’s inclusion in the Olympics, but because of the age limitations, most players will only get one chance in their career. For a young player to be prevented from participating, it’s probably a hard pill to swallow.
Olympic football teams are allowed to bring three players each who are exempt from the age restriction so if Enzo badly wanted to participate, he could do so in the future if selected.

Practically speaking, Enzo seems like a good coach and we'll see what happens. I was fully against Poch getting sacked when everything was cooking, but Poch is a slow adjuster and tossing out Chalobah and Gallagher would have likely meant we'd have floundered for another 3 months under Poch until things clicked again. So, my mind's changed. Enzo is an analytical person and likely would adapt to his squad and make the best of it - At least that's the hope. The alternative would have been to hire a more experienced coach, but that'll be hindsight. Sacking Poch wasn't the daftest idea if Gallagher is basically already gone. Let's see what happens, because it's been done already anyways.

Practically speaking, Enzo seems like a good coach and we'll see what happens. I was fully against Poch getting sacked when everything was cooking, but Poch is a slow adjuster and tossing out Chalobah and Gallagher would have likely meant we'd have floundered for another 3 months under Poch until things clicked again. So, my mind's changed. Enzo is an analytical person and likely would adapt to his squad and make the best of it - At least that's the hope. The alternative would have been to hire a more experienced coach, but that'll be hindsight. Sacking Poch wasn't the daftest idea if Gallagher is basically already gone. Let's see what happens, because it's been done already anyways.
Poch is a great adjustor, it just took time to build a spine. It would have worked without them under Poch, just dumb to spend Gallagher’s money on children. That was the disconnect
@@jamesdowd8839 You say Poch is a good adjuster, but it took him 8 months to figure out a strategy, which seemed to have come by accident because Enzo needed surgery and he was forced to find a way to work Gallagher and Caicedo, and that way was his pre-season strategy. Compare that to Conte who swapped to a back 3 after 6 games and you see one guy laid back hoping something will work and another guy looking for a solution as fast as possible.

My initial reaction to this is: Thank God it wasn't DeZerbi.
Dunno mate, they are kind of same thing. Both know few of our players from their previous jobs. Both without any experience with top clubs. Only real difference is : who is a bigger yes man? Maybe playstyle had some part in final decision. In general it's same risk with both of them, i'd even say that Dr Zerbi would be slightly less risky, only because he played with Shakhtar in Europe.
