You can purchase the optional buttock strap to assist with the transfer but ultimately if your husband is no longer able to assist in the transfer and you anticipate this being the norm moving forward, you may want to consider acquiring a full-body patient lift to safely transfer your husband.
@@BestcareLLC has it been tried? it looks like if the knees are secure against the knee pads as the lift begins the weight will transfer to legs. the way the sling makes the person lean back. if the knee pads had a strap the secured them to the lift, it may work. don't you think

Although it has not happened to Bestcare lifts since we launched our products in 1993, your concern, hypothetical it seems, may be the same concern of some users. Fortunately, with the BestStand the user is secured from falling by the Stand Assist Sling, the knee pad, and foot plate during lift and transfer. A properly trained caregiver is crucial to prevent this from happening and keep both the user and caregiver safe during lift and transfer. If a situation like your concern were to happen, the caregiver can quickly lower the user to bed or chair for proper care.
