Honestly speaking... I have not seen such informative and proper explained video on the water treatment process anywhere in the you tube... Thank you mam🙏
Hi Mam, Thanks for providing detailed explanation so nicely. Thank You. Can we implement the same process for bore water ? Please let me know. Thanks again
very well explained. thanks with full appreciation. just u have a request please ... if you can make another video to explain the different water treatment process like... STP.. MBR ... RO... ultra filtration.. which showning the process and the components ...... thanks in advance for all your efforts .
Very nice mam.. This wtp in my syllabus... I don't know idea about that.. You... Explained very well.... I shear this video to all my.. Frnds.. Keep it up... 👌👌👌👌
My question is -will that treated water be as fresh as the water from water bodies.. Does it contains minerals and all good bacterias?is it good to drink?
Chlorination as a disinfectant, is done after the filtration. But prechlorination can be done before filtration or even sedimentation to remove the fats, oil and grease contaminants. The content is not a reproduction of a single reference material. It was also taken from international standards and also the US standards. That is why prechlorination is given as optional step.
Maam, i think aftr screening we should not directly jump to sedimentation rather than we should do aeration, as aeration part is missing in this video, and maam thank you for your effort❤, very nice and knowledgeable video.
Depend on. River has very often changing quality. If is after rain is different situation as in dry weather. You can expect huge quantity of clay. Sometime as pretreatment they using cyclone filters.
everything is good ...... but i have doubt in FILTRATION part that ........ diagram u shown is ...... may reversed ....that ..... Fine aggregates will below the COARSE AGGREGATE part ....... water passes from coarse aggregate to fine aggregate and then to outlet
This is how you fill even for rain water harvesting. Only then if the pores or voids are blocked, it is easy for us to scrap few inches of fine sand and fill with new bed
UV treatment will work well even with large quantities of water, but it will not be suitable for turbid water and it is also expensive compared to chlorination. That is why it is not popular in developing countries.

Hi Mam, Thanks for providing detailed explanation so nicely. Thank You. Can we implement the same process for bore water ? Please let me know. Thanks again
Does not require all steps. Borewell water may have more hardness and TDS depending on the soil.
very well explained. thanks with full appreciation.

Mam heading ap nw drinking water treatment ki dali h smjha ap waste water treatment rhi hain screening coalugtion ya sb waste water ky process hain
This is for the treatment of fresh water collected in reservoirs, not waste water.
Some says that coagulation, flocculation is used in waste water treatment. I don't know pls explain.
If colloidal particles are present, coagulation and flocculation is required.
@@RevathiPurushothaman yes but waster water is totally different from normal water
Colloidal particles are removed by which process
Coagulation step
Mam can you share this PPT link in your description....pls mam

My question is -will that treated water be as fresh as the water from water bodies.. Does it contains minerals and all good bacterias?is it good to drink?
It will be definitely drinkable, but no assurance that good bacteria will be present, as we are chlorinating.
@@RevathiPurushothaman Then don't we have any other methods to purify?..
Well however your explanation was excellent👏.
Nice video ma'am. But voice is quite low to be audible well.
Now I have upgraded the audio in future videos
Thanks so much ma'am
Most welcome.
Actually when the plane chlorination is done, after sedimentation or filtration?
Can you please share the reference?
Chlorination as a disinfectant, is done after the filtration. But prechlorination can be done before filtration or even sedimentation to remove the fats, oil and grease contaminants. The content is not a reproduction of a single reference material. It was also taken from international standards and also the US standards. That is why prechlorination is given as optional step.
Also first stage of water purification

Can we pass river water directly through sand filter after alum dosing
We can follow the same process as given in this video.

Where is water stored after treatment is it stored in open reservoir
It should not be stored in open reservoir. Most of the time it will distributed through distribution lines.
