Once she qualified Trump for the ballot (meaning Trump passed all the necessary checks to get onto Maine ballot and she verifies this, the same law mandated that she deny Chris Christie from the ballot because he didn’t have the required number of signatures), the challenges were brought and a hearing was held. In this hearing, BOTH SIDES can present evidence and rebuttals. Bellows ultimately decided, the evidence pointed to Trump being disqualified from the ballot under the 14th amendment as argued by the challengers. BELLOWS then went on to STAY HER DECISION, waiting for any legal challenges as prescribed by Maine law, meaning Trump is still on the ballot until a superior court can rule on the matter via the appeal process.
