Chadreshwar buthnath is my favorite, I feel very peaceful there cuz it's on the top of the mountain and I see far away from there. May chadreshwar buthnath bless you. But you added malikarjun temple that one also my favorite. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Top of the cake is Laxminarasinha at Veling. Even though it is located in a well-populated place, once you enter the location of the temple, it feels like you are in the middle of a forest. The architecture of the Temple is alien and stunning, particularly its copper-plated roof. The temple tank is quite big and has perennial spring feeding it from above ground. The Tank is lined with Laterite stone, adding to its old-world charm. That would be my top pick.
It is good to see GOA is not only churches and beaches bikinibbodies. Hindu temple tourism with sincere hospitable attitude can help to fight our civilization battle . jai MAA Bhabhani.
there are only two temples are ancient, which may be constructed by Ruler of Goa from Karnataka like Kadamba, Chalukya, Vijayanagar. The architecture of such ancient temple is very nice, Like Mahadeva Temple, Rudreshwar Temple. Remaining temples may be built after era Karnataka Rule or by destructing the ancient Temples.
As a Karnataka Konkani who's ancestors migrated from Goa years ago due to PoRtUgUeSe mass Konkani Hindu genocide & destruction of our Hindu temples, it is so satisfying to see people including Goan temples in Goa tourism !!
I'm Mahajan/Kulavi of Shri Ramnath Devasthan, Bandivade,Ponda, Goa. The Idol shown at St. No. 9 is of Shri Betal and not of Lord Ramnath at the said temple. Please edit the version. 🙏
I think Goa and Goan lost their Shaiva and Vaishnav culture, religion due Portuguese Rule, even today they are going with Portuguese culture and attraction by not going main stream of Indian culture.
Goan Hindus can be pretty traditional. I am from coastal Karnataka and find that they stick to their traditions very much. We have our family deities (kuldevatas) located there, so I know. They have adapted to modern life while upholding their culture. Temples are well maintained, without much stress on the monetary perspective. The temples are not commercialised unlike those from Tamilnadu and Kerala, which is quite a relief.
Nice compilation. Thank you. Shall visit them.
