Nusrat fateh ali khan ko khabiii bhi classical ki duniya main thora sa bhi maqam nahi hasil huwa jo doosre singers ko huwa jaisey salamat ali khan...badde ghulam ali khan, ustad amir khan , shaggan saab, bhimsen joshi, pandit jasraj .... ustad ashiq ali khan etc...Nusrat was a different type of a singer.....nusrat could not even sing a raag in its true form.....he would turn it into a qwali sort thing. Salamat ji was a prodigy with extraordinary talent, Nazakat ji was 13 years older than salamat ji. Mostly in their recordings, the fast paced incredible taans are taken by salamat ji. Nazakat ji brings the background alive with his emotional content in his voice.
