I learned to drive in this exact same model IIA with the head lights on the out side it was also the same colour only it was a single cab hard top with no canopy on the back. In my opinion this model was the best of the series land rovers.

The 69-71 models are indeed among the best. Very tough and most silly problems had been sorted by then.

its a galvanised steel chassis. either they restored the original and galvanised it, or they bought a new one. :)
