Best time to be at Rondout is a weekday from 3:10 p.m. to 6;50 p.m. Besides freights, there are 12 Metra and 4 Amtraks scheduled and every now and then a late Empire Builder! Railfanning is all about location and timing. If athletic, you can get up to the bridge in about five minutes! This is easily one of Chicagoland's best locations. Best of all, no one usually bothers you!

Awesome video! 13:03 How fast is amtrak goin?
the best trains are real, the Amtrak Hiawatha was probably going at least 60-70 MPH. Thank you for enjoying the video!
A-Train4014 Productions Ok, is it true they go up to 125 mph or is it 80 or 90 I did enjoy it very much!
the best trains are real, are you talking about top speed for a Siemens Charger locomotive or an Amtrak P42DC locomotive?
A-Train4014 Productions I'm talking about how fast amtrak is aluud to run
Unfortunately, they're only allow to run as fast as 70 MPH/track speed.
