- Goliath:"The Eye, where is the Eye?" - Odin:"Where it always belonged, gargoyle. With the original owner. I apologize for any trouble I caused in my efforts to reclaim it. It seems I am out of practice in dealing directly with mortals." - Goliath:"I owe you an apology as well. It seems I am unaccustomed to dealing with a god...or being one." - Odin:"Then, we have all gained rare enlightenment this night - the Eye's standard gift. Onward, Sleipnir!"
They left out the best part... Goliath, after beating Odin says, "How does it feel Old man to be so close to death and immortality at the same time?" I may have been 13 but I knew that line was deep.
@CRUSHER CORPS I intentionally tagged you because chances of Mr. Isaac getting my reply notification are very less that cmnt was 6 years ago. So I replied to you😔.
It was too hard for them to animate, so they opted for a good look over authenticity. But, these fairies/gods are blending into the human world, so Sleipnir could just be glamored.
something I SERIOUSLY WANTED the whole show was to see what would have elisa become if she put the eye on herself. I now she normally wouldn't have done it but, like goliath in this episode, I think she would have probably done it if she was in a very hard situation
I thought of an open world game but I'd have it take place in the the past. Make your own characters. Warrior, mage, or gargoyle as at least starting classes. Call it Age of Gargoyles.
How this all could have been avoided, had Odin simply explained that he was the rightful owner of his own eye and was simply decent. Hell he even apologized in the end saying as much.
Yes, but that would be a terrible story and both characters would have learned nothing. Characters should be flawed from the start, so they can progress.
I have a vivid memory of beeing like 6 years old. I just caught this episode for the first time and then went to the zoo with my familiy. Instead of looking at animals I pretended to be powered up Goliath at the playground for hours. That was like 25 years ago. xD
Ugh! I was shocked when I saw the Eye revealed his dark inner self. To me, he was very hateful in that shape. I'm glad that that gem was no more after Odin recovered it.
Well... in the mythology Loki wasn’t his son, adopted or biological, in fact he was more of an old friend turned enemy, and occasionally back into a friend in the sagas
I've thought this for years. Not sure the best way to do it but thought they'd fit well in Marvel's NYC since back when Marvel published comics based on the cartoon.
I can imagine him walking in all cloaked. There to talk wisdom and understanding with Kratos and Atreus. Even recruit them to prevent Ragnarok. Portraying the Aesir differently than the Olympians. Where the Olympian Gods were petty and cruel. The Aesir were honorable and humble.
Okay I'm a bit annoyed with Odin using lightning. He never had that power his Domains were wisdom, magic (Runes), and Battle Lightning and Thunder was his son's thing

The wisdom to yield....my God the lines in this show were epic lol

Isaac Yarrell when he says in possession of your power that's enough for me.
"To be so close to death....and rejuvenation....at the same time!!!" One of the coldest lines ever spoke.
@CRUSHER CORPS could you please explain why is that line so impactful?
@CRUSHER CORPS I intentionally tagged you because chances of Mr. Isaac getting my reply notification are very less that cmnt was 6 years ago. So I replied to you😔.
It's a shame Odin's horse didn't have the right number of legs, but this was still a pretty badass incarnation of Odin.

What bothered me so much is that Odin was portrayed as a son of King Oberon, who isn't even a God. Unless I'm wrong in something about that.
@@SagiVTamer7287 in Gargoyles, Oberon was the father of all magic. this included 'Gods'... so yes this version of Odin was his son, but still a god.
@@Negasonic100 Oberon's Children aren't literally his children.
@@stonefree7973 from what I understood. He was. But I could be confused.

Idea of the week. A next gen Gargoyals video game, in a 90's themed Manhattan sandbox! Arkham style, spread the word.
I thought of an open world game but I'd have it take place in the the past. Make your own characters. Warrior, mage, or gargoyle as at least starting classes. Call it Age of Gargoyles.
Yes please!!!!! Let's make this happen people!!!!!!!

@@olawaleadegboyega4847 Oh know the story has to come first, it's just funny to think that all Odin had to say was "It's my eye, give it back."
@@MrBda241 Yea, lol. Understood 👍🤣
So, we have both gained wisdom this day. The Eye's standard gift.
My favourite talisman in Gargoyles.
For me it was the Phoenix Gate

Damn, with this eye Goliath is so buff...
And before the eye he was already walking testosterone to begin with, just think about that...
Ugh! I was shocked when I saw the Eye revealed his dark inner self. To me, he was very hateful in that shape. I'm glad that that gem was no more after Odin recovered it.
@@SagiVTamer7287 Well, Odins Eye transforms its wearer in an extreme and dark version of the wearers self.
This was pretty intense for a Disney cartoon that aired at 3:30 in the afternoon.
damn i miss this show
Odin: I am not the threat....my son loki is.....
you sure about that?
Well... in the mythology Loki wasn’t his son, adopted or biological, in fact he was more of an old friend turned enemy, and occasionally back into a friend in the sagas
Odin: I am not the threat. My daughter Hela is…
I love the subtle hints. How the old man is missing an eye, how his cloak and Goliath's wings are both fields of stars.
Was that Goliath being respectful to its origin?
Thor should have showed up and knocked him out with his hammer, lol.
disney should fold the gargoyles into the marvel universe
They're having Marvel Studios do the live action Gargoyles movie
I was just thinking the same thing but imaging Anthony Hopkins Odin that might be pretty cool
Javo no. No.
No. Just no. I like pizza and I like ice cream, but I don't want a pizza milk shake.

this is the odin we should have got in god of war ragnarok

When I was watching this smart people my age were buying properties today the dont have to work
why does odins horse only have 4 legs?
TaverensPull I was think the same.
TaverensPull It was too costly to animated an 8 legged horse.
He was also trying not to advertise who he was.
no idea but unlike greek they norse gods could hurt so make sense animals could too.
It was considered too difficult to animate him with eight legs.
I would have liked that the eye would still be a lingering threat and not resolved
so hope odin would win then instead keep it through space freeze so no use eye.
