Great advice guys. I am glad I joined the community. I am not able to give up the 9 to 5 with two girls in college but have had plenty of Saturday work between weddings and real estate. Even got a gig to do promo photos from my Phantom 4 from a photographer wanted photos of historic railroad crossings from angles he could not achieve. I was quite a bit cheaper than a $500.00 per hour helicopter. BTW, that photographer lead came from one of the weddings. Also been approached by wedding venues to do full promo videos. All of this can be done on Saturdays and take as long as a round of golf!
What? 23 comments? My 3rd video I’ve watched and you guys seriously rule. You are the Gary V of Drones. I can’t stay awake enough to watch your videos. I’m so excited. My buddy and I just started a drone business and your insight is amazing. Definitely going to join for monthly. Thank you for making this channel.
What techniques do you recommend to get focused? My head is all over the place of where to start, and I do feel like that ADD teenager (or adult rather). How do I get focused?
Hey guys, I have a question for you... my brother and I fix n flip houses. He's an agent I am not. I want to incorporate drone pics/videography into selling our homes. Do I need the 333 or 107? My understanding is if you go to a CLIENT and ask for money then yeah but what about if I'm not getting paid by someone else? Thanks great podcasts keep it up!
Whats up guys! He I am getting into the Drone Business. Tomorrow I go pick up my P4+ and I got a Canon 80d. I was browsing the topic Drone and you guys came up. I like to say that I'm glad i found you guys. you guys are answering a lot of my questions and other things like advise, ideas and so forth. I like to say thanks guys. Its really appreciated. Maybe if it goes well i go on your show. Thanks again!
Hey guys, thanks for all the content. I'm getting into the drone life to supplement my income. I know all about doing what you love and not working. I skydive for 'work'. I get to strap people to me and jump out of a plane, wild. I just wanted to relate the feeling and thank you for your 'work'. Take care oh, I see the unicorns everyday too!
The FCC has nothing to do with sUAS Operations. If you plan to fly for anything non-hobbby related, you do need a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA.
Neiche is important but for the most part, your niche needs to find you. Do something and be the best at it and to do that sometimes you have to do everything you can. You will know your niche because those are the jobs you can complete faster than anyone else. To just stick to one thing at the beginning is a mistake try it all your niche will find you.
John Raymond is a Hater - I found it great - I am in the start of a Drone Business, branching off from another business I run already. Will be joining the U soon, and ordered the book already.
And DJI is just trying to sell their drones! Stay AWAY from that company! I've gotten so much for free from these guys already I think I owe it to them to buy that whole stack of books.

Good question. Lots of things to consider.

Do you recommend expanding knowledge in camera use so that you can combine photography with drone videos?

ALL STARZ You’re still indirectly monetizing the process, so yes you need the license. I’m in a similar situation.
Can you give some examples of "niches" ? A little more detail perhaps? Thanks. Love your show.
