MOMMA'S PAIN The rarest of people are born Showmen. His "momma" ( nickname for his grandmother) recognized it and took him at 5 to the most prestigious music academy in Kazakhstan, stood in hallways all day on painful knees and legs and walked out with the youngest student in its history, Dimash.

Maestro Igor Krutoy did 13 songs for Dimash, not maximum of his songs and he have more than 90 songs. They just put the their 13 songs album on all musical platforms. Dimash work with various composers from Kazakhstan, China, Korea, Italy, America etc. Btw the song is inspirational and motivational.
Igor Krutoy composed this song for Dimash to open the European Games. The English captions will show that it is a song of encouragement for the athletes. If you understand the lyrics it will change your understanding of it. Merry Christmas 🎄
They were watching it on Krutoy's channel. There aren't English subtitles there. In Dimash's channel you can find 2 ou 3 performances of Olimpico (with English subtitles) but not this particular one unfortunately.

To listen without prejudice can be a challenge. As part of the quadrasonic development team in the late 60's we assembled sample listeners. Many were stunned by the sound, others swore it was audio manipulated. Recording production was a nightmare that almost scrapped the project because of cost, but the sound was real. Even though it was a commercial failure it led to what we now take for granted in surround sound. We have so much tech today everyone thinks everything is manipulated and I will grant, much is, to a vomit level. When you see this artist stand before you and commit to a flawless performance it is stunning. Cheers Boys.

When Dimash was still a teenager, a knowledgeable vocal coach and singer said that Dimash was a "Diamond in the rough". In my personal opinion Dimash has perfected that diamond... He is brilliant and shines with whatever he does.
Igor only composes a few songs a year since 2019 for Dimash, so it's only z fraction of the songs he performs. Dimash arranges the songs with Igor and Erlan Bekchurin and they work closely as a team. Dimash has a masters degree in composing himself so he is not just singing the songs he can change them up when he performs them at his own solo concerts such as this much more rocky version from Dimash'ssolo Arnau Concert in Kazakhstan in 2019. Please Don't think Igor is the boss, Dimash only works with people he likes so it's mutually beneficial that they work together as one entity. They have an excellent working relationship and Dimash goes to Russia a few times a year to perform.

This is my favorite performance of "Ogni Pietra/Olimpico" at the Arnau Kinetic Voice concert in the capital of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, in 2019, in front of 40000 people. You can watch the whole concert on Dimash's channel. The song was written by Igor Krutoy and performed for the first time by Dimash for the opening ceremony of the Second European Games in Belarus in 2019.
I think sometimes the language he sings in adds to the lyrics and emotion. This is in Italian and sounds fabulous, the words are inspiring as well.great reaction guys
When Dimash was still young he always dreamed of singing Igor Krutoy's songs. His collaboration with him is part of his childhood dreams. Maestro Igor Krutoy is one of the greatest Russian producers, a retired billionaire. When he heard Dimash sing, he reactivated himself from retiremend. Initially, Dimash sang some of his old songs, but then the maestro start to wrote new songs just for Dimash. They do everything on a friendly basis, they have no contract with each other.
You thought this sounded like it should be in a movie. I had the same experience with "Stranger". I think it should be the next James Bond song, since it starts off so mysterious sounding with the Kobyz. It just has that feel. Great reaction on Olympico!

It seems you caught the meaning without the translated lyrics: you are more than enough! This was written as an inspirational song for the opening of the 2019 European Olympic games. Of course, written for Dimash’s incredible range, I believe it was the first that Igor Krutoy truly wrote with Dimash in mind. They have collaborated often since and have developed a friendship you can see in their interactions. It is rumoured that Igor came out of retirement to work with Dimash.
Igor said that himself on a Russian television show. Not a rumour. He talked about having conversations with his mother where she suggested that he start composing again for some of the young artists and he couldn't find one he was interested in composing for until he met Dimash.

I saw him in New York 2019, at the Barclay Center arena, it has twenty thousand seats and an open area for whatever the event may be that's coming. Dimashs stage wasn't quite centered , it was set up this way for thousands more people I guesstimated there were about thirty thousand people, it was standing room only on the floor ... in front of the stage., his concert sold out in less than 10 minutes. Seven days after his concert, the world was told about Covid, this was Dimashs first world tour, now as we know it everything came to an abrupt halt, he did put out his album in the early spring of 2020, his album sold out in " 7 seconds " I have never known anyone to sell every album in 7 seconds but it did... Dimashs album also went tripple platinum just weeks later. I don't know if either one of you watch MTV anymore but there have been many of Dimashs videos with American singers videos and others , where people would call in every week until one makes it to #1. Dimash has actually taken lessons on the musical instruments he is proficient at. He took piano lessons for many years, and percussion as well. It's true that he can pick up an instrument and pick out a tune pretty quickly (which is not that rare for a musician with the level of training and constant exposure to music and music education environments that he has), but not true that he he never had to take any lessons. What's amazing is the way he applies his heart and mind to what he learns. That's where he transcends many other musicians.

I like this version, but I actually like the newest 2021 version from his digital show better. The staging is better, not distracting but more clean and helping the performance, not taking away from it.. And it has subtitles, and knowing the lyrics makes it even more awesome! This stage is like being at the airport, the point where Dimash is standing has a signal on the floor, the lanterns of the dancers, their movements and all lighting in the surroundings are like you can see at night in a landing strip. Dimash doesn’t realize we don’t need all the stuff going on around him. We just. Need him. He is mesmerizing, all encompassing. He doesn’t get it that he is so enough for us. I find many of his performances have so much going on so the camera keeps leaving him to focus on stuff we don’t want to see. I love the Toms. I find them exhilarating. The music in this is epic

It seems you caught the meaning without the translated lyrics: you are more than enough! This was written as an inspirational song for the opening of the 2019 European Olympic games. Of course, written for Dimash’s incredible range, I believe it was the first that Igor Krutoy truly wrote with Dimash in mind. They have collaborated often since and have developed a friendship you can see in their interactions. It is rumoured that Igor came out of retirement to work with Dimash.
Igor said that himself on a Russian television show. Not a rumour. He talked about having conversations with his mother where she suggested that he start composing again for some of the young artists and he couldn't find one he was interested in composing for until he met Dimash.

Dimash has actually taken lessons on the musical instruments he is proficient at. He took piano lessons for many years, and percussion as well. It's true that he can pick up an instrument and pick out a tune pretty quickly (which is not that rare for a musician with the level of training and constant exposure to music and music education environments that he has), but not true that he he never had to take any lessons. What's amazing is the way he applies his heart and mind to what he learns. That's where he transcends many other musicians.

I like this version, but I actually like the newest 2021 version from his digital show better. The staging is better, not distracting but more clean and helping the performance, not taking away from it.. And it has subtitles, and knowing the lyrics makes it even more awesome! You should check it you!

This stage is like being at the airport, the point where Dimash is standing has a signal on the floor, the lanterns of the dancers, their movements and all lighting in the surroundings are like you can see at night in a landing strip.
