I was lucky enough to catch him live in the spring/summer at this outdoor ranch venue - absolutely mind-blowing. The most inspiring musical performance I've ever seen. I really hope he plays more live shows, it's a crying shame more people don't get to see him live. If you play guitar, or just like music, go out of your way to see him if you get the chance!
Wow.This is one of my favourite Fleetwood Mac songs and I've never heard it covered. .This guy is new to me but I'll make myself familiar with his work.Great stuff
Pneuman32 I first saw him about 11 years ago at a small club in Ft. Worth. It was the first gig his current bass player, David Piggot played with him. I watched him from no more than 15 ft away for 3.5 hrs. He noticed me checking him out, he would get eye level with me and rip it, fretboard right in front of my face. I have seen a lot of people, and played in some big shows myself, never have I experienced anything like that.If you haven't seen him live, please do. It's well worth the money!
There use to be a better version of this on youtube but I guess it was taken down can't find it Luckily I downloaded this on a old PC years ago it's HD
Yes: and yet ; not so; He always plays what can be called a "Juiced Acoustic" ; he's plugged in. He plays 'Electric Acoustic' ; if you had to label it. And , he's damn good at it. You can basically play an acoustic guitar just like an electric (obviously) ; you don't get all that sustain and other effects by just micing an acoustic . What Ralph said :"I just never get tired of this!!!!".
***** Wow, it took a long time to get to that thought ...! He plays an acoustic guitar as if it were an electric (with effects and all). Because of his style and the genre' he plays it comes off sounding more like an electric guitar than say a "Leo Kottke" type acoustic sound. I think that's what I was trying to say originally. The difference between just amplifying an acoustic guitar through a PA syst (no pickups) and running it through two Marshal 100 watts and some effects boxes (with pickups either installed or incorporated in the acoustic guitar).
I say lawd, LAWD a MERCY the man can make that acoustic 6-string SQUEAL can't he? His sex life must be exhausting for his partner? And I mean that in the most positive way imaginable. ;-) John~ American Net'Zen
That is correct, he was playing his rendition of "World Turning", written by Fleetwood Mac, way before Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Back when Bob Welch was with them. Late 60's I believe

This is one of my favorite Monte songs. Glad to have it re-posted.

I just never get tired of this!!!!
Absolutely sick. Outstanding vocals and smoking licks from Monte.
The expression he gets when that groovy bass goes on in the beginning is so funny!
geeeez....I never get tired of this.....very cool......hipmotized.....If you've never seen Monte ya gotta......:)
I still watch this weekly at least.
Always glad to see the spotlight on Monte, but in this case the rest of the ensemble should be seen as well. sigh
This was filmed by a stationary mounted camera by a gentleman from OK named Brent. I'm sure he meant no disrespect to Phil and Steve.
Excellent version of a very difficult song to play believably.
Why have I never heard of this guy? Amaze balls!
Adam, is this your post?

Was that "little club" the Caravan of Dreams perhaps? That's where I saw him and it was awesome.
this is really good. I saved it years ago and just now found it
Sweet! One of my favorite Lindsey Buckingham tunes! A really amazing rendition!
This song speaks to what is going on today with the corona virus Turning this world upside down
Come on who could dislike this even if you may not like the type of music it's a brilliant cover. No one can do it like Lindsey though.
i love how he tunes his low E string during the start of the song to get the tune he wants. amazing!
Fu%#ing Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm fairly certain this song is not from the time of Bob Welch but rather a Lindsey Buckingham /Christine McVie collaboration.Great song either way.
what a nice guy with talent. leave him be.
Anyone know who’s playing the upright and percussion with Monte? They’re pretty amazing as well!!
Monte come back to Clovis NM!! :)
I know now how he gets the guitar wear above the sound hole. Slapping of the thumb pick!
Wow, here hold my beer please!

Geez I hope Mr. Buckingham is one of the 117,465 who's seen this.
Certified Guitar Player? One vote from me.
Oh Yes, another from me.
What I don't understand is why 6 people gave this a thumbs down. I guess it's because their cat walked across the keyboard.
WOW! JUST WOW!
Great song. why did it get taken down in the first place?
❤✊💚💪🎶and, WOW
