How the Talentless Matt Walsh Became Popular

- Matt Walsh is one of those guys who has succeeded in spite of having little to no talent. He's walking proof that to make it in the rightwing media space, all you need to do is hate the right people in a pithy way once. And then coast on that for as long as possible.

If humans are just very smart animals, then it isn't immoral for the powerful to do what they want. Also, the whole gender debate has to do with procreation. Sure, there are many different gender expressions, but only men and women can procreate. The phenomenon of transgenderism could not exist anywhere at anytime until the Industrial Revolution except amongst some aristocrats. Even then, it was crossdressing, not full-on genital surgery.

Never mind that - what about those people who don't put their cats out at night - mental or what?!!!
@Mark Daly people who keep their cats inside at night are very smart. Hard to get run over by a car when you're inside a house 🤷♀️
@@molliemicrobeI think a cat being able to express its true nature is important. I really hate animals being cooped up. I would ban zoos, and definitely caged birds. It hurts my soul to see the spirit of an animal being suffocated. I don't think your assertions sway me very much, I'm afraid.
@@samsmoot1 Cats aren't a wild animal, they're pretty domesticated and highly invasive. It's not just a question of the animal's safety, but of the entire ecosystem. I recommend you do a quick Google search and investigate how they've destroyed native ecosystems in Australia, that's a great case study of what they do pretty much everywhere. If you provide cats with a stimulating environment inside they can fully express their "true nature" without destroying actual nature. when the fix for their ecological damage also improves their wellbeing it seems like a no-brainer.
I definitely agree with what you say about zoos, but zoos mostly contain wild animals and are not comparable to domesticated pets being kept in loving houses.
I know very little about birds but from what I understand, if their wings are not clipped and they're allowed to fly in the house during most of the day it's not really any different from putting a dog in a crate, which behavioral experts largely agree is completely fine and actually keeps them safe at night (probably even more of a factor with birds since they can access a lot more potential hazards than a dog) so unless you're completely against pets I don't see how getting rid of bird cages is possible.

My grandmother, born in the 20’s, married at 24, her husband was 26. When they left the church, an old lady went, “Ah, they’re marrying children now!”

The entire conversation can be summed up by two sentences: "Biological researchers would disagree with you [that sex is binary." "Then they're full of shit." The audience cheered and clapped. it isnt really a tv show but a web series, but yeah basically
Maybe it's just me but when I hear Matt say that 16 year old girls should be getting pregnant and raising a family, I get a weirded out.
Statistically speaking, a large percentage of teen mothers are impregnated by adult men. Also, most 16 year old boys can't work full time, can't sign a lease, and can't maintain a household. The undertones of his statement are worrying.
Yeah, thats the plan. Change the meaning of the word grooming so that they can groom children all they want without getting exposed
Thesis 1) Women (really girls) should marry young so they can make with the childbearing and childrearing while the getting is (supposedly) good.
Thesis 2) Children should be raised in 'stable', one-income households where the man is at work all day earning money and the woman is maintaining the home in his (temporary) absence and raising said kids.
Unspoken Thesis 3) Rich men in their adulthood to middle age (because apparently men don't suffer any degeneration in their capacity to sire children as they age, despite what current reproductive science says) should have their 'pick of the litter' when it comes to these women (or girls).
I firmly believe that Matt Walsh believes that rich (white) men should be able to pick whatever young woman (or girl) they want, and because these young women (or girls) would have no capacity to fend for themselves (because of compromised upbringing and lack of independent financial resources), they just have to 'grin and bear it'.
Ooh I really hate the teenagers are “peak” fertility argument.
All people like this mean is that younger eggs are better and deteriorate over time. Therefore teen eggs are better.
By that logic, a woman’s fertility peaks the moment she gets her first period, as that’s the first time her eggs can be released to be fertilised, and it’s all down hill from there. That’s what they are really saying and it’s bloody creepy to say the least, and dehumanising to be more accurate.
Does that mean it’s the peak time for her to get pregnant and become a mother? As someone who got their first period at 10 years, 11 months… I say NO!
It’s such a dehumanising argument. Do they mean peak as in the most stable, emotionally mature, economically sound, educated, in a loving 2 parent home (the 2 parents seems very important to them)? No
They mean peak in terms of carrying their progeny to term. Because they don’t care about the woman, she’s just the life support for the uterus carrying their genes.
@@ginao6810 I would argue they only care about kids instead in so far as they are extensions of themselves. If they actually cared we'd see more actual support for anyone actively raising kids.
@@andrejg4136 very much so. Never found these kinds of men to be real 50/50 hands-on parent either.

Having a dog to sleep with in winter is one of the great joys in life. But Mat is probably one of those people who will tell his kids their dead dog is not in heaven because the Bible teaches that animals don't have souls.
Matt Walsh sleeps with dogs, just not like how most people do

when Mathew says that the left wing defintion of a women is circular well his defintion of "Adult Human Female" is a circular definition. It is considered a ciruclar lexicographic definition. As it uses synonym's and words too closely related to the subject. Even more hilarious is because they think female and women are the exact same thing it makes it even more circular.
Woman = female is just one degree removed from woman = woman
No it doesn't you just don't understand what the definition of female is.
The definition of female is individuals in a species that when things are biologically functioning properly can produce offspring.
Yes there are diseases, there are deformities, that can result in a female that cannot bear children.
Those are however diseases and deformities and abnormalities precisely because they prevent normal healthy expected biological processes that would be there but for the problem.
If you have ovaries and eggs and milk glands and a bajingo and two X chromosomes etc.
Your a female. Your a female by the plurality of evidence not the lack of one.
All the primary and secondary sex characteristics determine your sex as a collective.
This is why for example you can identify a female at a glance with like 99.5% accuracy off just a glance alone.
So no there is no circular logic there.
The problem on the progressive side is that defining a woman by it's nature means that you need to exclude people.
The moment you say what something is, you also say what it isn't and there is no definition which covers everyone they wish to cover and so they have to define woman as "well I mean, you know, you know what a woman is" and use the conservative idea of well it's common sense really to say
It seems you need clarification, so let me explain. There are males and females, and we have short-hand linguistic terms to describe them. So instead of constantly saying, "The adult human female," we shorten it to "the woman." Neat huh! We do this for all animals too! For instance, an adult bovine female is a cow or a heifer. So if I ask, "What is a cow?" you can say, "An adult bovine female that has given birth," instead of "A cow is whoever feels they are a cow." Wow, you learned so much today!

@ Alex, I'd have to respectfully disagree. All his audience needs to hear is the word trans. To them it's inherently evil by nature. It's also why Michael Knowles and kind of the Daily Wire as a whole is shifting in the same direction. It's effective to be just straight up hateful and vitriolic because it appeals to angry bigots' true feelings
This has been the project over the last 40+ years. They are boiling down the pro-White, pro-Male, etc. rhetoric down to a point where it's like pure, distilled, 200 proof moonshine.

@@randomcdude4430 that's not fair man. I'm sure he'd make at least mediocre fertilizer.
Matt Walsh argues in the style of proclaiming that everything more complicated than A=A is somehow pushing an agenda by trying to confuse the reader. In that one Tennessee public hearing he got absolutely grilled at, he essentially kept referring to HRT as chemical castration over and over, and his argument for his own authority on the matter was that he was a "human being with a brain and a soul", i.e. that it was so obvious to him, it must be obvious to everyone else. Not to mention the fundamental conservative mantra, "it used to be this way, so it worked, so it's natural, so it's good". He keeps using that too, all the time.
Notice how people like him can only use examples to try and make an argument.
"Look here a transgeder who hates drag queens. This is the good one."
"Here's another who committed a crime. They're all evil."
"And this one agrees with me. This meas I'm right."

He was in front of Congress and claimed that he knows how to read and so that makes him an expert
There seems to be a lot of intersection between conservative ideology and the "(appeal to) personal incredulity" fallacy. "If I don't/can't understand it, then it must be false or not make any objective sense." So whenever people want to make changes that reflect new ways of seeing or understanding things, conservatives may want to push back on those changes specifically because the desire or need for making those changes is based on a shift of understanding something that they themselves couldn't comprehend. So they see no need for such change and consider that change unnecessary or even problematic. And then they resist that change or even try to undo it.
When it comes to LGBT identity politics, this is often why conservatives like to bring up the old, tired "basic biology" argument. "Whatever do you mean that there's more to the science of biology than the handful of facts they taught me about the male and female reproductive systems when I was in middle school? You mean that if I were to study biology some more, including at a college/university level, or especially got advanced degrees in biology and studied for professional research, that there could turn out to be more about how human sex works that goes beyond the basics? Nah, preposterous. Middle school biology is all there is and if literal scientists who study this stuff for years and for a career tell me otherwise, I will just dismiss it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go argue with a physicist next because they were talking about subatomic particles called quarks. I know for a fact that there are no such things because all I learned about the inside of an atom from school was just protons, neutrons, and electrons. They're making up stuff too."

I’m glad someone else said what I’ve been thinking. “Right place right time” that’s how fascism survives. Exploiting human society during times of turmoil. We’ve already done this before.
Is the left or right the fascists?
@@Seldomheardabout I'm not sure if you're asking this question seriously, or if you're sealioning. Nevertheless fascism is a far right political position that thrives when capitalism is generally failing and can take advantage of military strength.
@@Seldomheardabout so the extreme right wing government is fascism, the extreme left wing government is communism, so let me ask you this: what would Matt Walsh call himself? Because he ain’t not communist, so that makes him a fascist because he is one
@@Seldomheardabout Fascism is capitalist, and far right. I have a playlist titled "Fascism" with a few things in it for educational purposes.
@@grmpEqweer I disagree with both. Any side can be fascist.

I gotta say that I always appreciate José's transparency with his editing of clips and very thorough analysis. While I wish these guys didn't exist to breakdown, I am glad we have someone like José, Jessie, and Joel (just realized all the J names haha) to do so.
Joel? Do you mean big or little? Haver and Varg are also acceptable answers but less relevant here
Why are there so many good Joels lol
@makeitthrough_ i was talkin bout big joel, didn't even know there was another hahaha
@@rooster1090 It's a joke. Big Joel has a secondary channel that he named Little Joel, and we like to have fun pretending that these are two separate entities. The search for Regular-Sized Joel is ongoing.
Granted, I was already a dyed-in-the-wool progressive, but Walsh’s rhetoric and the right’s obsession with people’s genitals has only made me more understanding and supportive of trans issues.
The left's obsession with children's genitals not an issue for you then? Porn in schools- you like, yes? And men in elaborate frocks twerking at 5-year olds your thing, is it? The right dislikes these things, the left adores them. It's mostly this kiddy grooming we don't like.
if only your beliefs were close enough to reality to be worth disagreeing with
The right doesn't care about people's genitals. They care about radical (unproven and totally inappropriate for children) gender theory being taught to children, and the social contagion that it's created that has led to a massive increase in medical interventions that have insidious long term effects.

I seem to remember Matt Walsh once bragged about how he had no qualifications for what he's doing.
@Skullwithnobrainin your dreams lmao
@Skullwithnobrain it's explained in the fucking video
@Skullwithnobrain "basic knowledge of biology and science" lmao Matt doesn't even know that.
@Skullwithnobrainlol. Kid we on the left know biology. Lol. It’s why we accept the science that proves you wrong. Lol. Seriously kid it’s hilarious how you anti trans sheep say you believe in biology when there’s not a single biology book that agrees with you. Lol.
Matt has actively gone on about how he doesn't like college and often says it's stupid. He also doesn't believe in ADHD and gets really mad when someone says he has it.
Matt Walsh honestly scares me because of how dead and lightless his eyes look.
His voice makes me uncomfortable and annoyed. I'm talking about Walsh's voice. Jose's voice is calm and soothing to me.
I’d rather be a ‘savage’ for treating my elderly dog like royalty instead of being a savage for unwarranted hate in my heart.

A couple months ago, a teacher at my school praised him for "telling it like it is"
I don't know what to expect considering my school is named after Ronald Reagan, but I'm glad I'm graduating next year.
Should've just called them $tup1d lol.
That's EXACTLY what my older brother used to say about that lunatic Michael Savage. He's just "telling it like it is."
Yikes.

He probably thinks Vatican two was a mistake.
Matt Walsh looks like the Uncle that visits to see the kids
Come on. That's not something inherently bad or anything. You can also just like your nephews and nieces and prefer them over your sibling and that sibling's partner.
@@camelopardalis84Yeah thats he would say too
It should be a violation of the Geneva convention to let Matt Walsh set foot on the continent of Africa
The attacks Walsh makes seems to come from fear. His wants are unfulfilled and never will be. There in lies the hate.
Thanks Jose for enduring hours of Matt Walsh so we don't have to.
Matt Walsh recently complained that not a lot of critics reviewed his movie, presuming that this is because "liberal media" and not because it was a daily wire original aka not a real movie
They don’t have time to watch amateur hacks who don’t know what they are talking about
The Daily Wire pretending they’re film makers is very funny lol.
My favourite was when rightwingers were memeing about gina currano losing a disney contract by quoting ben kenobi in a new hope.......then she stared in a movie and they imediatly screamed about "wokeness" cause she played a capable women.
