Oh Paul the balloon... I howled! I always wonder 🤔"Oh my gosh, who's crying now??" and certainly there is a story behind it. I can just Imagine a wailing child "Myyy BAAlooooonnnn!!!!!! Waaaa!!!" I remember my mother and /or Auntie would tie them to our wrist to prevent such a disaster, but sad things happen, sometimes. The drama is real somewhere my friend, I am sure.
Ah, yes, the country fair, the balloon tied to the wrist, I remember that. But my brother would always pop mine on the way home. :) Jon in rural BC, Canada
One thing that blows my mind in some of your videos is the size of the slugs you've had! I thought I'd seen some decent sized ones in my garden but yours look as though they've been on steroids by comparison 🤯
Ah, the writer's mind. :) Making up stories in your head about lost balloons, teasing plants, but not verbally. :) I'm sure Richard checks pockets before doing the wash, and put your seed package somewhere up high, where he can see them perfectly and assumed you can, too. My son is 6'4" and I'm 5'6" so I know how that goes. :) Jon in rural BC, Canada
Thank you for another interesting video. Do hope things are going well with you. Your lettuces look very good. I sowed lettuces seeds directly into raised bed but there was no gemination.
Thank you Paul, another inspiration blog!!! My tomatoes are still very green and not many of them, lettuces have been eaten so I’m not doing very well this year!!! I didn’t realise that seeds need to be left in the fridge…that’s where I’m going wrong then 😩 Thanks for the tip regarding cardboard….i need to get some from the supermarket, they normally have lots lurking about ….My ground is very hard and clay, so I will be doing that shortly I think !!! Thanks Paul…..and stop dreaming about balloons, you sound nuts 😂😂
Judy - I keep seeds in the fridge as it extends their viability, and an airtight box with a silica sachet in keeps them dry too. 👍 Cardboard always worked well with Vivi's clay soil. 🤞
If it's worth anything, my tomatoes are all still green as usual but loaded. I haven't touched them so an overgrown mess, but most will ripen. Hope all is wonderful
Your plot mates are looking out for you and taking good care of you, Paul. I usually love to share the veg harvest, but this year, there really isn't much coming in yet. Tomatoes have slowly started. I took my hod out to harvest Saturday, thinking I really would not be getting much, and I was able to fill it to overflowing with mainly herbs and greens. So, dehydrating herbs it is. And I found a "Zuchini Giagantus" 😂today hidden but too huge to hide anymore. I'm considering using part of it for Zuchini Lasana. How much food production do you usually get for home consumption vs this growing season? Hope your health situation is working out well for you.❤
Yay for herb harvests!! 😁 I would say that our harvests are down 80-90% on previous years... if we were relying on the plot like Vivi did we would be in big trouble... 😬
@@witsonsmom729I've actually just come back from the plot and mention your question in this week's first segment of A Week at the Plot, and answer it fully. 👍😊👍

The camera did it... so much is rather dry, though the stinging nettles are very lush!!! 😁😁

I have had very sporadic germination this year - right from the first sowings... 😬

There seems to be loads of people with green totaoes this year just hanging there and not colouring up... 😬
