Saw these guys in Dallas, they were breathtaking. They opened for Melvins and came back and joined them onstage to play Hung Bunny/Roman Dog Bird. It was beyond incredible.
That 3rd track 'The Grower' is a absolute banger. Whole wave of emotions with that song. Kind of a weird sludgey intro that almost builds into a crescendo. That guitar that comes in at 13:06 😮🫠. Then the soft affirmations. I first heard it and was blown away.
Saw these guys/girl last night in Toronto, and I loved it. Reminded me of early Smashing Pumpkins mixed with new Deftones, but they also have their own thing going on musically as well.
'The Grower' is a fucking absolute banger. My God, talk about a masterpiece. "NOW GIVE ME A BEE-YOTCH, AND I THINK YOU GOT IT!" Give me your ride right now punk or I will dust your ass!!
Just saw Spotlights last night at the Milestone Club in Charlotte where they opened for If Trees Could Talk. Unbelievable music they put out for a three piece band. So much talent, depth and just plain art. They went straight to the top of my list. Please come back soon, you guys ROCK!!!
Everyone should support this band if you are here. I seen them on tour with the Deftones & forgot all about them until I was looking through old concert tickets. Spotlights should've gotten bigger....
Saw them at The International Centre (Mississauga / Toronto), Aug. 13, 2016 where they opened for Refused and Deftones. They matched both bands in terms of musicianship - no question. Spotlights - no pretense, honest music making, restrained showmanship, very meaningful. Honestly, they put Refused to shame. Refused - pretentious, ostentatious, they came across as being a parody, actually embarrassing to witness. Deftones - masterful, of course. The perfect bill would've been Spotlights and Deftones. Gotta see them again!
Totally agree with you 100%. I hope these guys eventually see the light of day. They were great live with Deftones. Didn't like Refused to be honest, I thought the singer was annoying.
I have to agree. Castor sounded really good. Hum, while one of my favorite bands ever...well it was not their best show I have ever seen. Spotlights just has a massive sound and they are really super nice people.
Thanks for the post. I am glad to have caught your act here in Edmonton July 17,2017 at The Union Hall. Have you thought about brining in a drummer into your group? I hope to see you guys soon.
Excited to see this band live.... there are paths this album takes you on that I didn't expect - and it's nice to get turned where you don't expect when you listen to music... it's what makes it beautiful
they are LOUD as fuck. Really good though. Never heard of them till I saw Pallbearer in Syracuse and again on Long Island. Listen to them all the time now. I was lucky enough to see them and Pallbearer twice in one week :)
Damn. I had hoped to catch them but the trip from Toronto to Mississauga took forever and I missed their entire set. Hopefully they'll be back soon for their own show in Toronto proper.
I told them that when I seen them play with the deftones and they smiled so hard, chino watched them play there whole set and was digging it the whole time.
this band should be as huge as TOOL, or Deftones.. They are so amazing to me, and the whole world should know about them.
Saw these guys in Dallas, they were breathtaking. They opened for Melvins and came back and joined them onstage to play Hung Bunny/Roman Dog Bird. It was beyond incredible.
My goodness, I could imagine that being live a tiramisu of doom. Sounds delicious and layered.
I love reading this kind of stories
1. Intro 00:00
2. Walls 01:56
3. The Grower 07:49
4. Hover 15:10
5.To The End 21:49
6.Joseph 29:41
third track sounds like a long lost Torche recording. i love this whole album so much
que bueno verte x acá Fran, fuerte abrazo
@@TheNightdiver Tremendo jaja Esta banda la descubrí gracias a vos ♥

Enjoyed the set with Mr Bungle. Really liking the album too.
Saw them with The Melvins in Houston everybody was hooked including me.
Love that this kind of heavy music is coming from my home town again!!
Saw these guys/girl last night in Toronto, and I loved it. Reminded me of early Smashing Pumpkins mixed with new Deftones, but they also have their own thing going on musically as well.
Sounds even better live, that bass bouncing off the walls and I'm high as fuck.
This is some of the best music I have heard in a long time, bravo to you both.
Best album of 2016. I've listened to this like 50 times now

Everyone should support this band if you are here. I seen them on tour with the Deftones & forgot all about them until I was looking through old concert tickets. Spotlights should've gotten bigger....
Discovered them a couple of days ago on Frank Huang. Best new band I've heard in a long time.

Cannot wait to hear you guys open for Hum this weekend
Brian W they ripped it, thought all the bands were good, but the energy these guys had took the cake
I have to agree. Castor sounded really good. Hum, while one of my favorite bands ever...well it was not their best show I have ever seen. Spotlights just has a massive sound and they are really super nice people.
Brian W Ben the guitar player in Castor was using my red Marshall and cab. Thought they sounded good for a 20 year hiatus.
i just saw you guys last night in baltimore, i absolutely love your music. it sounds amazing.
Same! You guys put on an excellent show last night!
Sounding great guys!
Guys, you make perfect music!!
With love from Ukraine.

Thank you Quinteros for this music.
I saw you for the first time in Des Moines (opening for Deftones) - very anxious to see you when you return! :-)
Me, too! Who'd have thought the Des Moines show could beat KC in May? Nice Surprise.
This was published on my Birthday
Saw you guys open for deftones in coney island this past weekend, I love your sound!
I hear a lot of Shiner/The Life and Times influence as well.
I fucking love all three bands.
I love you guys so much man, good luck on your tour.
Wanna see you guys
DUDE just saw them tonight Toronto international centre Deftones great show
That was an amazing show last night! Glad these guys played!
UGH, saw them too ! I was up center right stage - UGH to die for !
Same here! They are amazing!
Damn. I had hoped to catch them but the trip from Toronto to Mississauga took forever and I missed their entire set. Hopefully they'll be back soon for their own show in Toronto proper.
They should have just named their band Badass.
Saw you guys in Sterling Heights and thoroughly enjoyed your set.
So did I. Deftones was great too
I can hear many Isis influences and imports here.
'Sludgegazer' is pretty damn accurate. Really digging this album
cool :)
Damn anyone else hear "Isis" band 🤔..I hear the obvious deftones/HUM
Fuckin' aweseome!!!
torche meets pinback kinda.
Jawbox meets The Life and Times meets Ween 'The Pod'.
...I hope it's ok that the '.8 views' is most likely me in the last week!!!...
a lot of deftones influence in their music
I told them that when I seen them play with the deftones and they smiled so hard, chino watched them play there whole set and was digging it the whole time.
Just saw them both last night! Amazing show!
riffs remind me more of isis
lewnidas.v they sound pretty isis
some MBV as well... it's a great combination. they write really good songs+great sound.
Is it me or i hear Deftones minerva a lot ?
saw them in minneapolis last week
good but the venue was too shitty for their sound so everyone else got bored lol
