Reputation for swifties is considered a love album where she found joe through the chaos and the worst reputation, reputation is definitely in my top 3 albums from Taylor
this is like a "dual sided" story album, tracks 1-6 is how the world viewed her, so she's like if I was actually this character, how would that look, but all tracks after that, are what was actually happening in her life, she was falling in love, staying out of the spotlight and found someone who didnt care about what everyone was saying about her. well except track 5, track 5 is always considered her most vulnerable honest tracks.
On the surface this album is about the time in her life when her reputation took a major hit. Back when Kim and Kanye tried to ruin her, and the media was really scrutinizing her, for everything from her weight, to the number of friends she had. But at it’s heart this album is a love letter to her now rumored husband that she fell for right in the midst of all of that. It’s so good. After this she released lover. Midnights to me is like if reputation and lover had a baby 😂 Also, she has a million music videos that are all great too. I don’t know if I can pick a favorite album of hers but red, reputation, folklore/evermore, and midnights are up there. Her songwriting is so impressive, and even back when she was just a teenager her lyrics and storytelling were great. She’s getting ready to release her re-recorded version of Speak Now. She wrote that album completely alone when she was 18/19 in response to rumors that she wasn’t actually participating in writing her songs on her first two albums. Such a flex.
@@demetristate7515I just added a novel to my first comment. Haha. But yeah she’s been with her current boyfriend Joe for going on 7 years. And there are rumors they recently got married in London, where he’s from.
@@demetristate7515 Lover is one of my favorite albums of hers. It is a love letter to all types of love romantic, familial, friendship, and self love. I had to edit this comment to throw in a disclaimer that Lover is also extremely pop, but she does experiment with adding horns and jazzy undertones.
Not sure if anyone has said this yet, but Getaway Car is about her wanting and needing to break up with Calvin Harris, so about three weeks after they separated she left on a whirlwind Europe vacation with Tom Hindlestin, Tom is the Getaway Car! Please listen to it again with that in mind. Basically, she is saying that as much as she liked Tom when you're in a rebound relationship, it rarely lasts. Because of all the doubts and interference from the media, she ended it with Tom shortly after returning. Tom was understanding and disappointed but Im sure he knew he was taking a risk dating her so soon after a breakup. They have remained friends.
The first half of the album is about Taylor just destroying her "big enemies", shading on them and giving no shit about it. In 2016 Kim Kardashian called her a snake and the whole twitter cancelled her, and that's when she fell into depression and bad times in her life. It is also the time when she met Joe Alwyn whose she's in a relationship now (they've been together for almost 7 years). In every song until so it goes and gorgeous she talks about Kanye West (hope you know the infamous incident at the 2009 vmas), Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry (she also had a beef, but now they are friends) and about the media and people that talk shit about her. She also mentions Joe as they met and started to fall in love but she is not sure if it's okay and if they're gonna be together because of the hate train Taylor got with her other relationships before. That's what she's talking about in delicate. So as the album goes by Taylor says that she's really in love with him and that she found "king of her heart". Now they're relationship is real and she doesn't care about anything. In this is why we can't have nice things Taylor sings about Kanye West if I'm not mistaken and in call it what you want she talks about how she feels about that situation with twitter, "snake-Taylor" thing and about other incidents now, after finding her true love and recovering from all of this. And she doesn't give a damn shit. "She's doing better than she ever was" so people can talk what they want to Taylor just doesn't care anymore. Reputation is a perfect album in any aspect. It is a journey from start to the end. And in the end she finally knows what is really matters in her life. Thanks for reaction! Also Reputation was out in 2017 so it's way more far from folklore/evermore due to the fact that she released another album in 2019 called Lover. This album is all about Joe her beloved :))
2006 Taylor Swift (Debut) 2008 Fearless 2010 Speak Now 2012 Red 2014 1989 2017 Reputation 2019 Lover 2020 Folklore 2020 Evermore 2021 Fearless TV (Taylor’s Version) 2021 Red TV 2022 Midnights She is the Queen. You mentioned how she reinvents her sound and what not. Every album sounds a little bit (or a lot a bit) different. Glad you loved Reputation ❤ Personally, I can’t wait for that re-release.
This album was sick because after the Kim and Kanye drama she was away for a year and she comeback with this one day on Instagram with the a lot of snakes as theme cuz Kim called her that
Now that you've listened to this album, I think it'd be great for you to checkout the video "Making Of A Song" for Reputation. It shows the viewers a behind the scenes look at how she came up with the songs for that album. You will see her creative process at work. The other thing I'd like for you to check out is the Reputation tour. It elevates the songs even more so than the studio version. You will see how she goes all out for these performances. She really puts on a show. And she does showcase her vocal range. Taylor really is a whole package deal.
All the love songs are about Joe, her boyfriend of several years. This album was given a bad Rep by the media when it came out; it was about being in a bad place and finding love in spite of all the chaos. I love this album for several reasons, but mostly because this was her come back and her way of setting the record straight. We, as fans, got the message even though the media and critics had a field day with her.
Excellent reaction my guy good shit 🤌🏿 also reputation came out in 2017 man are just always loved playing with those somber chords but yeah after that there was an album called lover in which she released in 2019. Then in 2020 she released folklore and evermore which are sister albums as she calls it. Which basically means like she meant for those to be relatable projects that play one after the other in succession
@@demetristate7515 yessir🤌🏿🗣️ and I'm glad your not just listening to rap music. So many of our people get caught up in one genre it's ridiculous man 💯
I love your reactions! I can tell you really appreciate the music and lyrics regardless of what your normal music taste is. Your comments are always so on point. Been waiting for this reaction, clicked as soon as I woke up. Can't wait for your next Tay Tay album
There are a total of 10 albums, plus her re-records. There are songs that Taylor featured in with other artist, also songs like "Only The Young" and "Christmas Tree Farm".
I appreciate how much love you have for this album. I often find myself going back and forth between Reputation and folkmore. A lot of the songs go together surprisingly well. That being said, you had me at Evermore, Cowboy Like Me, and Gold Rush. I'll add Ivy and Right Where You Left Me. Then you said "she's out here snatching souls" and I subscribed.
Taylor kind of does this thing where she takes what people say about her even if it's not true and writes a song as if it is and owns it to take the power away from the people who made up those lies about her. I'm not saying that she's perfect but some of the things she writes about are either from past relationships because she likes to add her past experiences into her more modern albums or she writes something completely fictional so some of this stuff is not the same relationship or some of it is purely fictional. She has called herself out when she has been wrong before but she writes songs in so many different ways and styles that it can be really confusing what she's talking about. Midnights is about sleepless nights that she has had so they aren't all necessarily about the same situation. I just wanted to let you know. Blank space is a good example of her taking what people said about her and making the joke bigger so it isn't funny anymore. Reputation delves more into what people think she's like and what she has to deal with as result of people thinking that's what she's like and how afraid she is that she won't find any friends or a boyfriend because people see her that way or because they heard what people were saying about her.
Love that you caught all the little Folklore/Evermore tidbits, I was waiting for you to hear the last lyric when you mentioned it sounding lIke Champagne Problems. She did have another album between them (Reputation, then Lover, then Folklore/Evermore), but there’s no doubt she took inspiration from songs like New Year’s Day when it came time to make a slower, mellow album during the pandemic. She continues a lot of themes she started in earlier albums with folklore and evermore.
Love your reactions! I know i’m super late to this but i wanna give a reputation explanation that I haven’t really seen in the comments yet at all! A lot of the songs on this album are satire or playing the character of a crazy serial dater going around breaking hearts that the media made her out to be. Hence all the songs about her continuously being the toxic player. The other half of the songs are about joe, her boyfriend of 6 years at the time but they broke up and now she’s dating travis kelce! Looking forward to watching the other taylor reactions you have posted!
I know I’m late to this game, but I just discovered your reaction videos. By now you probably know the whole controversy between TS, Kanye and Kim, and the subsequent media backlash against Taylor… until the full story came out showing K and K lied their asses off about her. She basically stepped completely out of the spotlight for a little over a year. She came back with this album, reclaiming her reputation and slamming K/K. It’s awesomely savage when you know the story… with a few love stories thrown in about her then boyfriend who stood by her thru the whole mess.
When listing your favourite songs of hers you got almost all of mine (from the albums you’ve listened to lol), super looking forward to watching these reactions seeing as you like what I do! Glad you’re enjoying TS :)
The album is half about her reputation after the 2016 (I think??) incident with the edited phone call that Kim and Kanye released regarding her approving the line “I made that bitch famous” (about the 2009 VMA’s incident) in Kanye’s song “Famous”. After he dropped it, Taylor had gone on record saying she never approved it, and she was disgusted by it, and honestly fair enough. But Kanye argued she did give him the go ahead and she was just trying to get attention. The thing is, she didn’t approve it but the edited phone call made it look like she did. that made her look like a liar and as though she had been playing the false victim. The entire internet cancelled her, #/taylorswiftisoverparty trended number 1 on Twitter, she had to turn off all her comment sections because they were filled with tens of thousand of comments of snake emojis (lead by Ms Kardashian herself), and everyone starting being downright nasty to her, so she disappeared for an entire year because she thought everyone hated her. So her “reputation” was horrible when she dropped this album out of the blue in 2017 after a year in hiding. “Look what you made me do” is about Kanye forcing Taylor to come back and build a new reputation. “This is why we can’t have nice things” is a direct call-out to Kanye. In 2019 or so, someone leaked the entire phone call (Kim made an enemy I think) and it proved Taylor innocent, but Kim and Kanye have never acknowledged it. They tried to cancel her for falsely playing the victim and in reality they had fabricated the entire thing and were doing something even worse than what they were accusing her of. Her reputation honestly never has recovered but she has rebuilt herself back. There’s a few references to Scooter Braun (he bought her entire catalogue and refused to sell it to her so she’s being forced to re-record her old albums to own the rights) as well. The love songs are mostly about Joe Alwyn, her (still) long term boyfriend, who she met at an awards show not long after the Kanye drama. Although it’s a common theory that “Getaway Car” is about Tom Hiddleston (who was her rebound after Calvin Harris)
Hii, nice reaction. Reputation is actually her 6th album and "Lover is her 7th. Folklore is 8th. Lover is more a pop album than Rep. But all of her lyrics have the same storytelling. It's just that most of the times, once it's stripped down from all production and it's only 1-2 instruments that you can really appreciate her lyrics/storytelling. You should watch the Reputation Tour. Then you can react to her other albums. Lover has also great songs.
This is the first time I’ve realized that the song order (except Look What You Made Me Do) steps through her developing her current relationship until New Year’s Day where she’s all in. Good reaction to this album!
It's kinda funny that you would say that u don't know what she does at night, Taylor in a interview said most of the time, She usually gets up at about 4am. Stumbles over to the piano and starts thinking of tunes. lol.
Great reaction! Personally I’d love to see you do a little versus of her albums after you’ve heard them all and hear your overall opinions :) Also would love to see you react to maybe some of her live performances or her music videos. If you want to react to other artists I’d recommend Lana Del Rey she’s great and I feel like you could appreciate her story telling too because I noticed you really focus on the lyrics. Thanks again ❤️
So her saying "I got a boyfriend hes older than us, hes in the club doing I dont know what" was Calvin Harris and she references this in High Infidelity
Yeah man, she disappeared for almost a year due to being attacked from every corner of the internet and clapped back with this album hence the dark yet vulnerable undertones. The first few songs are a big 🖕🏾 She had enough - say I’m xyz then I’ll be xyz (and capitalize off it). She manages to do with integrity and authenticity tho, pretty dope. It be cool to get your reaction to the Lover album. Thanks for your vids 👌🏾
After kenye and Kim k., Released a false phone call, She was called a lier over and over again, Taylor moved to another country for 1 year didn't talk to anyone, She gosted her friends, Taylor felt like she couldn't trust anyone, when she came back, A star was back released Reputation.
during this time, she met Joe Alwyn, her boyfriend of seven years. So Call it what you want is her saying that she doesn't care about what is going on in the media because she is in love.
You are mostly working backwards in time. Since you are falling into the rabbit hole with Taylor, you will certainly want to add "1989" and "Lover" to your list. They are the most clearly pop albums, but they still have Taylor's flair. Given that you like folklore and evermore, you might like "Red", but keep in mind that Red is all over the map in terms of generas - during that era she was in transition from country to pop, so it's hard to predict how you will react to those. One thing that you would find deeply interesting is the documentary called "Miss Americana". This would provide a lot of insights into what you are hearing when you listen to Taylor. You would not need to do a detailed reaction video to the whole movie, but it would be fascinating to hear you general comments if you watch it.
All the shit with Kanye went down. She disappeared for a year and then came out with this banger and said fuck what all yall say cause Ima do me. Iconic.
Delicate is the best song with the worst bridge. I know she said she was intentionally making it simple but damn. I KNOW she had more to give there. Those are my champagne problems 🥂

Just found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching all your Taylor reactions lol I can’t wait for you to do 1989!!! 😭🤭
Same!!! All day been watching these! I love to watch a former hater become a taytay lover. ❤
You tripping Ed kkilled that!
Watch the videos for any of her songs…. !! They are a masterpiece coupled with the great songs makes it a whole new experience when combined.
I love this album!
Beautiful reaction! You are awesome. 😊
Thank you!! 😁
4:36 most lit moment 🔥🔥🔥
I cant wait for REP TV
Saaaame 😍
GETAWAY CAR SUPREMACY
This would be a good time to watch the Mrs Americana Documentary!! This is where it fits
sooo happy you listened to it, loved the video and your reaction!
So her saying "I got a boyfriend hes older than us, hes in the club doing I dont know what" was Calvin Harris and she references this in High Infidelity
the tom, calvin and joe timeline is so confusing
excited to the red reaction 🎉
Just found your channel and I just think you are great. Def gonna be bingeing your other Taylor videos! ❤
YOU HAVE TO DO REP STADIUM TOUR ON NETFLIX....NEXT!!!!!!
YESSS I LOVE THIS ALBUM
Lover us her next album after this. Folklore was after that. Folklore was a result of the pandemic.
I don’t often rewatch hour long reaction videos, but when I do it’s either reputation or Beyoncé lemonade. Please react to Beyoncé lemonade!!
Don't worry, nobody likes gorgeous lol
I'm so glad I found this channel, you're an amazing reactor!
She did Lover before Folklore
Lover came after Reputation.
Im oretty sure on Endgame when Ed says "4 words on the tip of my tongue" were "will you marry me" and now he is married and a father of 2
Hey bro if you're looking for a follow up for this with the swifty reactions her reputation stadium tour movie thing goes pretty hard too
After kenye and Kim k., Released a false phone call, She was called a lier over and over again, Taylor moved to another country for 1 year didn't talk to anyone, She gosted her friends, Taylor felt like she couldn't trust anyone, when she came back, A star was back released Reputation.
51:16 you should really check out dont blame me live since you love it sm it’s better live
This is why we can't have nice things is about Kanye.
during this time, she met Joe Alwyn, her boyfriend of seven years. So Call it what you want is her saying that she doesn't care about what is going on in the media because she is in love.
WE NEED RED TV AND FEARLESS TV AND LOVER!!!!!!! SPEAK NOW TV IS COMING SOON TOO!!
The comment about future being toxic is spot on. Lol
Lover, the album, is much brighter than this album 💿
All the shit with Kanye went down. She disappeared for a year and then came out with this banger and said fuck what all yall say cause Ima do me. Iconic.
I think Reputation did come out before the others did.
I super suggest her most recent rerelease, Speak Now TV
A cowboy like me stan. Hello I'm down for this😭
rep Stadium Tour on Netflix next!!! 🎉
future and taylor on a track is max toxicity 😂🔥
Mad toxic 😂😂😂
Delicate is the best song with the worst bridge. I know she said she was intentionally making it simple but damn. I KNOW she had more to give there. Those are my champagne problems 🥂
I’m begging you to watch her reputation stadium tour Netflix special, and react to that please
Lol why did you edit out all the best parts and lyrics that I would’ve loved to see your reaction to
😂😂😂
check out Bad Blood video featuring Kendrick Lamar
Lover followed Reputation. Then Folklore and Evermore, Midnights.
Please react to the official music video of 'Wildest Dreams" I could see it touched you when you saw it live. The music video will touch you 100 times more❤❤❤
You're obviously an evermore Stan lol
nice
toxic tay 😍
New character
Kenye and Kim k.
Dress equals Joe
She did cheat on Calvin Harris. Which is the older boyfriend she’s referring to
The four words is “Will you marry me ?” Not I love you 😂😂😂
Please reaction BLACKPINK ALBUM "THE ALBUM" AND "BORNPINK"
NF- HOPE Music video just dropped, can you react to it please?!!!
Hey man… you’re doing yourself a huge disservice not utilizing playlists. You’re missing out on countless views and potential subs not using them
Yikes. You’re also not utilizing the ‘about’ on the channel page or the video descriptions box. I always wonder why people bother putting our consistent videos if their actions with their page make it seem like they don’t want people finding them
Yeah i cant finish these because you keep cutting the best parts out of the song.
Kanye and Kim killed her reputation.
