His Majesty The King of Bahrain receives international musician André Rieu

- His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today international musician André Rieu and members of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, who will be performing a concert in Bahrain.
Present were His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative; His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs; and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
His Majesty praised André Rieu and his team for their successful artistic career, global popularity, and unique contributions to enriching international music. He wished them success during their visit to Bahrain and in their upcoming artistic endeavors.
His Majesty emphasised that cultural and artistic events foster global communication and collaboration.
Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), gave the following remarks for the audience:
Your Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa,
I stand before you with great pleasure, restating our immense appreciation and gratitude to your Majesty for your continuous support of the arts and culture in Bahrain, as we further position the Kingdom of Bahrain as a center of cultural connections and exchanges.
Your Majesty, your vision to expand Bahrain’s cultural infrastructure to host global performances, through your direct and generous support in establishing the Bahrain National Theatre, and the Al Dana Amphitheatre, has developed the cultural scene in Bahrain and the region.
Today, your Majesty’s support has underlined our position in the region as a prominent destination where music in all its forms is appreciated and enjoyed. The Spring of Culture program this year, with the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has shown that Bahrain continues to be a platform for traditional, classical, modern and contemporary music, harnessing the positive influence of music on society as a medium of global connectivity.
On his part, André Rieu expressed gratitude to His Majesty for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his team during their visit.
He expressed his happiness for performing in Bahrain for the second consecutive year, and wished the people of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.

Lovely event, wow, takes my breath away friends, when music is the most successful political strategy to unite us like family, yeah, heavenly bliss indeed. Now, get in action everybody in Bahrein and provide for social justice so everybody could afford tickets for concerts and more music happenings...every weekend if possible, let them gifted musicians entertain you some more and let show biz become an asset for Middle East countries as well, nobody must get hurt but enjoying music happenings and party, feeling just fine. Maestro Rieu is fond of Strauss music, if you try to understand Strauss better, when Habsburg dinasty used to rule the Austro-Hungarian Empire, music and dancing parties were a very political decision...those ages back, European countries were involved in war disputes all the time, a lot of Austrian young generations were soldiers, it was a bit like..enjoy the polka young man, tomorrow you need to fight for your Emperor and it might be the last day of your life... therefore the cheerful mood was..next to madness, still, if we could realize that music is much more worthy than war hostilities, yeah, what a wonderful world this could be indeed
