Something I find extraordinarily interesting. All these champion heavyweight fighters turned out to be real gentlemen. From old school right up until today. From Jack Dempsey and Joe Lewis to George Foreman and Mike Tyson. Ali was the consummate gentleman. Generous and kind-hearted. Joe Frazier was a sweetheart. You can't say that about any other sport.
i agree. but remember, back then it was an era full of gentlemen. nowadays you got guys who build their pride based on how many girls they have slept with. that era is gone and im only 20 years of age realising that this world is fucked up. sadly we won't have people like this anymore.
Rr It might surprise you but fighters don't sleep with a lot of women. They usually stick to one at a time. Probably because it takes away from their training. You would not believe how focused top athletes are. James Harrison, #92 of the Pittsburgh Steelers, landed with the team at 4 AM in Pittsburgh and at 6 AM, was seen heading into the weight room. He's 38 and playing at championship level. Harrison is also a real classy guy. A true mensch.

@@playabledance Didnt i mention that? Guess i didnt. But yes it was both reasons. Mike already put u0 with headbutting during the 1st match and put up with it for a large part of the 2nd. But he was also frustrated not being able to get through Evanders defence. Evander didnt give him any chance to move his arms. He would get in close and hold and block basically smothering him. It took too much energy for mike to try and push evander around he didnt want to tire too quickly. They both trained at the same Gym Evander studied Tyson more than anyone.
No excuses
Headbutting was done by both fighters
@haaris ibn Abdul What the fuck makes him a tyson fangirl? Surely you have no idea what you're talking about fool.
I love this man ..how can you not love this man!
Every single opponent has complained about his head butts..
Also look up when he bit his opponent on the shoulder....
Interviewer: What do you think about intimidation technique?
Holy: Some point you are going in the ring with someone who ain't intimidated. What you gonna do about it then?
A REAL answer
A great ambassador for boxing and great example for kids deep respect
Holyfield and Hagler were my 2 favorite fighters of all time. Brave, Tough, Professional
i hated evander back when he was beating mike, because he was a childhood hero of mine, but now i have nothing but respect for the man. always nice, down to earth, friendly, respectful and real person. and one of my favorite boxers looking back at his fights.
Q: what do you think about Mike Tyson today?
A: A million years ago I made the Olympic team and he didn’t.
Much love from NEPAL!!!
Classy comments about forgiveness.
Its not classy to mention class.
Forgive but don’t chop on my ear again .
One Hell of a fighter ....Thank you for being there Mr HollyField ...🙏.
Classy champ, stays humble, good guy all the way around. Great fighter
Holyfield is a good person
Great man of integrity. It would be an honor to meet you.
Really like Holyfield, he had some heart, just when you think he's in trouble he'd fight back twice as hard.
Such a classy guy always one of my favorite boxers
Something I find extraordinarily interesting. All these champion heavyweight fighters turned out to be real gentlemen. From old school right up until today. From Jack Dempsey and Joe Lewis to George Foreman and Mike Tyson. Ali was the consummate gentleman. Generous and kind-hearted. Joe Frazier was a sweetheart.
You can't say that about any other sport.
boxing teaches u discipline
Goes far deeper than that...much, much more...
i agree. but remember, back then it was an era full of gentlemen. nowadays you got guys who build their pride based on how many girls they have slept with. that era is gone and im only 20 years of age realising that this world is fucked up. sadly we won't have people like this anymore.
Leon Davis i meant people in general not only fighters. but i agree with you
a fine gentleman. wise.
