The whole point of this scene was to show an example of how women help each other keep their delusions alive using “exception stories” in the exception vs the rule lesson. Someone always knows someone who knows someone where a situation that usually never works out happens to work out and the woman holds on to that story with all her hope that will happen to her when the reality is it’s most likely not going to.
No no no. This is horrible advice. I would tell my friend absolutely not. If he's married and gets a divorce on his own without cheating that's one thing, but to tell her to go after another man while he is married even in a movie scene is horrible. It makes me wonder if the person who wrote the movie didn't do this themselves. If so shame on them.

I hated this scene so much. Drew is one of my favorites but I didn't like her character encouraging something awful like this.
What’s so awful about going after what you want? Some men marry women that they don’t love. Women are delusional about a lot things.
