This guy deserves to be a champ for all the work he does, I am surprised at how humble he is compared to a lot of boxers who haven't a title to their name. Keep it up man and you will go far.
Boxing and fighting in general is something i have fully supported for young men of all backgrounds. It may have different benefits for different individuals, but they all experience some very positive benefits.
These white people going to down play the situation, But love bring up black on black crime when they want to shit on us. I love what this young black boy is doing.
I fought Golden Gloves in Memphis in 1962. Had won 17 but lost in championship. I’ve thought through that fight again at least a million times. Vivid memories. I joined Krav Maga late in life and found my boxing skills were still there.
A great story, one that represents many many Boxing Gyms around the nation and abroad. The sport is not for everyone, it is tough but has so offers something no other sport can. A good coach can teach life lessons with the skill.
I'm an amateur boxer as well, so it was cool getting to watch this documentary and being able to identify with everything. You have a hella lot of talent, just keep swinging away, and working hard.
@@benm6535 Well I boxed as an amateur for about 4-5 years and won the Texas Games, South Texas Championships 2x, and National Brown Gloves Championship. Overall I had somewhere around 25 fights and won most of them. The last few years I've been busy with college but I've been back in the gym lately so who knows 👀
Hey! Thanks for appreciating our video. I like yours better than ours. It's very inspiring. That Ryan is a blessing to be so humble and young. Looking forward to seeing more from you guys. Thanks again. DeShawn
I really wish that I would have taken up Boxing when I was a young kid instead of putting all my effort into football. Now I'm too old & out of shape and I'll never be able to get in the ring with any good boxers and stand any chance of fighting on a competitive level. #JustCantCatchABreak
Everyone always wants to reach out to inner city kids why do boxing gyms neglect small town and middle class kids there are so many that need direction plus it wouldn't hurt for the two demographics to actually get to know each other.
Dan Means that's true, we do tend to see this type of thing presented towards inner city kids, but I believe this gym is open to anyone who is willing to work hard. It has a focus and goals that can apply to anyone. I would love to hear about the things you are doing to reach out to the small town and middle class.
I hope he made every dream come true and if that didn’t happen. I hope his efforts opened doors and he’s turned that mentality and grind into something else and he’s absolutely killing it. Rumble young man rumble. 🫡

He was suspended from boxing for four years recently due to testing positive for illegal substance use. He was definitely heading somewhere too..
How was life 7 years ago
I love seeing young black men doing something positive with their lives, I hope this young man has a long and exciting career in the sport!
