I was doing an overnighter, headed for a music festival at Nymagee. I was out the back of Moulamein, it was late and I'd had a shitty day. I could see a glow over the horizon- the lights of the town of Hay. But they didn't seem to be getting any closer. I wondered if I was getting anywhere at all... If any of us were...if the world even, was doomed.

I used to live in Hay and went to Melbourne fairly regularly, often traveling back along that Deni - Hay road and it looks a lot like that.

this gives me the shivers too, many years ago we were driving along at sunset, looking out over the plains of Hay and saw a UFO that picked us up true story, you can see for ever in the clear air over that expanse of plain.
