Okc definitely has the best player between them and the Celtics. And if you’re telling yourself Jayson Tatum is better than Shai at this point you’re tweaking.
Shai is a better shot creator but that’s about it. Tatum is bigger, better rebounder. Better and more versatile defender. Better rebounder. And passing is somewhat equal due to Tatum taking steps in that field. Shai is also more efficient but I think overall it leans to Tatum being the better overall player
@ no he is not a better passer first off. Shai’s assist numbers aren’t as high because he’s such a dominant scorer. Shai is a better ball handler. I’ll give you rebounding and I guess defensive versatility because he’s bigger so he should be better at rebounding. But pound for pound Shai is a better defender than Tatum. He’s also more clutch and far more efficient.
@@JasonCastroMartinezIf he starts winning , they ain’t even got out the second round yet, the only thing he does better is score efficient, and Tatum is the better defender cause he does more defensively than Shai

OKC has yet to play a game at full strength this year. Chet and Ihart healthy at the same time will take this team up a notch, and they are already riding.
Mavs haven’t been full strength either. Seems there’s always 1-4 players missing every game this year. Let’s get both teams at full strength for more than two weeks together. It should be fun.
It’s also crazy we’re considering pj this insane needle mover when the mavs won by 2 points against them the first time without a center. Everybody will claim oh but they didn’t have Luka. So then we beat them with Luka having a center. When Chet comes back good luck the mavs are cooked
Cooked? 😂😂😂 yah like last playoffs... dont you wnat to consider that there will be injuries again? Not only chet or even luka but others are well? Besides there are other teams as well, houston; even memphis are there. Remind you memphis beat celtics, they are also dangerous
PJ creates some very real matchup problems for the thunder. They don’t have a defender who can match his combination of size speed and athleticism. Thunder still have hart when Chet’s out. Mavs were not only missing PJ but their only other power forward Maxi Kleber was out as well.
@ I just hear excuses about role players missing time. Idk how you can seriously use that as a reason when they literally just got beat by a team with more significant injury issues
@ understandable but that was with giddey on OKC and we have much more depth and some vets on the team too. This is a different team and the OKC Thunder will demolish the mavs this year.
As a mavs fan, I am obviously biased but the addition of Ihart is huge for them. Having said that, we dominated every single game last playoffs except game 1 and okc only having Chet did hurt them. Even then they were far from their regular season form(except SGA) which could be down to lack of experience or a different whistle from the refs. One X factor for OKC is the Chet Ihart two big lineup. If Chet can space the floor at the 4 then it becomes harder for Dallas to defend them. On the other side PJ obv goes nuts against them but if Klay can into a rhythm and rain 3s it’s gonna be hard for OKC blitz Luka/kyrie. I really hope we see the rematch in the playoffs and it should at LEAST go to a 6 game series
Dominated is not a good choice of words. Y’all barely beat an OKC team that went ice cold from 3, that went into to series as the best 3 point shooting team in the league. I think the two teams are gonna be fun to watch go at it for years to come. Y’all just gotta get Luka to stop complaining all the time and get back on defense.
As many have pointed out in this thread, you simply did not dominate in that series, but I'd like to point out something else. OKC is a drastically different than they were last year. The big signings in the off season are obviously the main talking points, as Caruso and IHart elevate this team to wins like you saw last night in Vegas and in OKC during the Cup. Aside from that, the progression I've seen from the guys that support Shai is something to be talked about. Dub looks like an All Star and solidified second option this year. Chet was going on a DPOY campaign before his injury. Cason has been playing out of his mind on both side but specifically on the defensive side. THIS DUDE PICK POCKETED ONE OF THE BEST STARS IN THE LEAGUE and no one is talking about it. IJoe has also been great. This team is showing signs of maturing very fast, and that was why OKC lost in the Semis last year.
It's kind of silly to take two teams that are 1-1 against each other (but have never played with either 100% healthy) and declare one of them unbeatable. Chet will be back and Dallas will get a shot when they're at 100%. We'll see how it looks. If OKC can dominate like the Cup game, then they have earned the respect everyone should give them. If it's a close game or Dallas wins, then obviously they CAN be beaten and it just requires a good (competent) effort. Until OKC beats them in the playoffs, Dallas is the reigning WC champion and the best team in the West. OKC is demonstrating they are even better than last year, but they'll need to eliminate Dallas to claim that title. Then they can go for Boston or whoever comes out of the East.
Finally a reasonable take. Last year Game 1 OKC destroyed Dallas. How did that end. 2022 Suns destroyed dallas in all their 3 wins but ended up losing 4. Why do people over react to 1 game I don't know.
