    Beautifully compact. Well done. I expect this one will be useful to me in the future.

    Brilliant! Will gather at their leisure, Thank you!

    Looks quite elegant. Do you know how resistant your gearbox is when applying high torque? Unfortunately most gearboxes can't handle high torque very well.

      +LC-jrx - Lego Mods, Ideas and Creations by dinojrx For this gearbox, I fixed the slipping in second gear, and the two matrices are quite resistant ( New design ) But might be improved in a further version.
      Thank you !

    I built it and I have to say it´s damn difficult to understand this gear box... huge respect dude
    I just found out that when there is some force on the axles the gears are slipping. I will try to build a more robust one but i´m still trying to figure out how this is working XD

      +Technic Dragon The matrices are a bit flimsy for now but I'll improve it in a further version :)
      NOo wories, I'll provide full explanations in my next video.
      Thank you for reviewing my instructions, very important to me !

      +Lego Technic Mastery this gearbox uses a method of shifting that I personally call "hard injection".

      Ok but what does it mean to you ?
      I would love to hear what you have to say about it !

    This is an older video but for a school project could you explain to me what gears you are looking at to get the gear ratio

    Hi Very very nice gearbox !!! Question I have only 2 item 44 some suggestion to use other item instead to build it thanks

    nice gearbox!
    by the way, won't the gearbos slip in the 2nd gear because of the differential?

    • @legotechnicmastery
      @legotechnicmastery  7 років тому +1

      You might think it would but the fact that I used a clutch gear between the output and the differential, blocks the clutch shaft when the slightest resistive torque is applied... Then redirecting the power to the output instead of the void !

      Lego Technic Mastery So do you mean that the clutch gear slips when either 1st or 3rd gear is engaged?

    • @legotechnicmastery
      @legotechnicmastery  7 років тому +1

      No, the clutch gears are perfectly engaged in 1st and 3rd speed !

    At least your gearbox doesn't look remotely the same to others...

      Actualy, first of all, I completely imagined the gearbox ( Not saying that I'm the first man on earth having a such idea ) and then, I wanted to make it as tiny as possible so I tried tons of part combinations and complex gear ratios ( half studs in two different dirrection ) in order to make two identical matrices, And I came out with this gearbox !
      So I'm pretty proud of my work But some features do not work as perfectly as I wanted.

      Those wierd levers ? You mean the red one in the center, sliding the driving ring ?
