My astonishment is that the kisses in the series chosen by the editors, directors and producers are relatively tame! It looks like there’s a lot more passion in the rehearsals and outtakes than ends up on screen. I wonder how different this would be with a PG-13 rating or for a “Western” audience? What struck me about the kiss scene with Yukee, and I suffered a lot, was seeing that they weren't wearing any costumes, there were no cameras around to film the kiss and the director? and why was she at a higher level than DD? and he hugging her with a lot of voluptuousness and my heart hurt too much...
there's camera, you see DD waving his arm? This is taken by fancam, so hard to see the whole pic. Just like the fancam caught DD&XX holding hands tightly behind Charles filming scene.
I was thinking the same thing. The camera situation, I can get pass that but no costume. They are really rehearsing the heck out of that kiss scene since they’ll probably have to do a couple more takes With costume and official shooting.
Oh well, Didi does his job passionately. That’s what makes him a good Actor.

this took place in 2021, it's 2022 now and DiDi & XiXi have move on and are happy with each other right now, no need for us to worries for them. They are strong couple and can withstand what ever storm is coming their way.
It’s typical to repeat kiss scenes if the Director is not satisfied with your performance. Doesn’t mean Didi enjoys it. It’s his job. He had several NGs with Shen Yue in the wedding scene in MG and in the baths and he’s also wearing other clothes. Because it’s cold and they can’t always wear their costume which will get dirty and don’t really offer enough warmth.
What you need to check is the actors **reaction AFTER the kiss.** Usually if you’re acquaintances with your co-star, you joke with each other after the kiss, like how Xinxin is with Ryan Ding/ Zhang Binbin/ Mike D’Angelo and Didi with Barbie Zhue/ Shen Yue/ Qin Lan. But with each other Didi is almost always tries to act unaffected after the kiss and Esther tries to brush the kiss off like Didi’s ears aren’t red 😂. It’s like what some people do to hide their true feelings/relationship.
But xx and dd didn’t have rehearsal for kissing scene. These kisses were the real scenes. And he had kissing rehearsal in new drama 🫥
pay attention to his ear piece in the first one, that's rehearsal, even that DD was really serious and into it.

I got very pissed about this Kiss rehearsal with Yukee 😑 I Know they're actors And will kiss many other mouths but I feel annoyed how Didi hugged Yukee, since is a historical drama . Unnecessary, and after that he stand up Yukee very happy. My DiXin ass got hurt
it's a part of their job as actors and in order to be a good actor , they beed to be in the charactor too. End of the day, it's just a job. If you look at all his past co-leads, he's been isolating and try not to have any skinship with them other then during the takes, except for with Esther, he's all over her in fancam and bts, and promotions.
