You are a blessing in the oled community and your videos have helped me alot! Do you think Shadow Detail +1 impacts complete black levels to a degree that you never get complete blacks? (ive noticed that SD +5 does increase greyness, so I guess +1 does too).
I tried your recommended settings with firmware 1622 sdr filmmaker mode, with no service menu mods as well as with the peak luminate and screensaver mods, while the skin-colors and most things are great. I have a problem with the dark ones, if they are outside while its dark, or have dark clothes on, you cant see what the sleeve is or whats the coat for example. How can i get that better? the haircuts are good with people with black hair, but its the outdoor scene and the clothes SDR is important for me becouse thats what my cable provider gives me, the uhd files i download is for a other time
Hi! The main way to fix this is with a professional calibration. You could try to manually make some adjustments to see if it improves anything here, but when it comes to shadow detail, this has to be adjusted via calibration.
Hi Iceman, Amazing video, just what I needed. I have read that the auto dimming issue is aggressive on this TV. Is this still a problem with new firmware 1622?
Thank you so much! The auto dimming is a lot better on Firmware 1622, I haven't seen an issue, but even so, you can go into the Service Menu and turn auto-dimming off. I have videos here showing you how to do so, just do a quick search on my channel.
Thank you so much! I pretty much leave Standard, Movie, and Dynamic on default as I have professionally calibrated all of the picture modes. They all look good to me and I don't need to adjust them since they are calibrated. As for your situation, you can apply these settings to those modes, but what I would do is make individual setting changes that I have listed to your liking for each picture mode. You can run wild with the other picture modes as you have your main Filmmaker Mode accuracy. Hopefully this helps!
Just getting a feel here, does everyone prefer to have contrast enhancer off? I feel its too dark, or am i missing something. The other settings I like, just the contrast was too dark. Any recommendation?
Hey Ron! I would definitely recommend contrast enhancer to be off of you want to retain any level of accuracy. I generally try to give people the most accurate settings as possible while still maintaining some color pop and etc. It's your TV at the end of the day, so if you have to turn Contrast Enhancer on, please do so, but just know you will loose the color accuracy and etc in most scenes/games.
Hi! I didn’t alter anything under the BT.2020 settings of DCI-P3. I do have different 2-point/20 point settings as I have professionally calibrated my S95B. I don’t share those (as no Pro Calibrator will outside of a rare manufacturer color issue) because they will not look the same on every S95B due to panel variance and a few other things. The settings I have shared will give you a close look to the video content shown here.
Hi ComicalMusic! My apologies for the late reply! Use the other....the OEM are the default settings. My settings will improve upon that if you haven't done so already.
With this Firmware 1622 and your settings im getting back in love with my S95B since purchasing it in November ‘22. Thank you for the hard work🤜🏼🤛🏼

Are you able to share the custom bt2020 color settings?

Hey, should I still set the brightness higher in te service menu or is it back to 1500nits?
Hi! I do not suggest making any service menu brightness settings on firmware 1622. It will mess everything up as the tone mapping is great now.
Ai i did it few day's ago and now if i put them back to standart its to dark 😬 anything i can do to fix this?
Which value do I use?? OEM or the other, I'm on 1622
