It ain’t easy running a business, family and dealing with what life chucks at ya mate. Long time watcher first time commenter thought I’d better give something back. Love your vids bro, keeps me going! Looking forward to running into you one day, cheers mate!
Keep up the mahi. There is all sorts of people who watch, I'm tramper from the Waikato that watches ton of kiwi outdoor channels, your one of the ones I enjoy the most. No clue why I do, they just really enjoyable and fascinating, even though I am not "bushmen" in your context, guess partly as grew up outdoor, rural and a DIY whanau there is something there. Keep up the mahi, it's some times good to take a break, so every video is still great even if it's a wait. ~churr
Don't have shovel logging or large scale skidding in Scotland so this is really interesting. Love the set up and organisation of the site. Looks productive. How many guys on site? We would try and short wood all that with a harvester / forwarder set up not sure which is more productive any idea? Keep safe. Keep the content coming
Chur, love your vlogs bro, reminds me of those days on a o66 magnum hard out in the pouring down rain, now swinging 400 ton Diggers in western australia in the mines bro, always waiting for the next vid, hope your families safe and well, chur, chur
We do a lot of shovel logging in Oregon, lots of similarities in every aspect of our logging compared to yours except we have a heel boom and raised cabs on our shovels.
Bro been doin urban trees 20 years now. Never used a file guide. Saw got was pullin ok. But really i was putin to much hook. Always sharp but yer. Have used the stihl file guide been good. My gurin corner waa not there. Love ya vids bro. Cheers
Good on you for giving fasting a go bro. I've been doing it for 2 years. I've dropped 40 kilos, don't get gout anymore and don't have fatty liver anymore as well. Basically now I eat every second day but my job isn't that physical.
@@ruahinehunter7441 the first month was tough because I was getting off the carbs and sugar and getting my body to readapt to running on healthy fats like avocados, nuts, fish and meat. But now that body has reset itself. I'm 49 and have more energy now then when I was playing footy in my twenty's. My cousin lost 70 kgs through fasting and keto diet and she never broke a sweat for the first 40 kgs because she was to big and it would have put to much strain on her joints and heart.
@@ruahinehunter7441 I started out at 120 kgs after my Dr ripped me a new one. 2 years later I sit around 80 to 82 kgs and in the mornings just before I break a 2 day fast I can just see an outline of my abs again lol. Bro I was stoked enough when I lost my gut and could see my pecker again lol.
bro ive been doing keto for 1 1/2 years eating once a day lost 50kg was bloody hard cause i love spud kumera and chocolate but feeling great now back to 2 meals aday and weight staying off both meals are light but no carbs and sugar. keep ya videos going love watching them
Bro too much for addressing your absence from the tube too be honest I didn't think you went away for too long, toally understand what you mean about consistent videos man it's not easy when you got a full time job,got family, and just general life stuff, covid would have taken its toll mentally on alot of new Zealanders anyone with half a brain would have seen through all the stupid covid rules and restrictions load of rubbish...any way nice vid brother tu meke 🤙 clean work skid too cheer the breathers meeeean
Oh I'd love a stint in the bush. Make a man of myself. Did 11 years shearing. Now 10 years working for stihl as a technician. This would be my dream now.
This will most likely come across as a negative, but it's intended as a positive message....Those stems....They've likely taken 25 to 30 years to mature and the land owner is expecting to make some money.....Throwing them like that results in breakage and damage which then has a negative impact on log making/value recovery, as once you've broken a stem, you've set the log combinations that now be cut......Another consideration......The higher the amount of stem breakage on the cut-over, the more slash there is, so the re-establishment costs (site prep and planting) will also be higher, reducing the profit for the land owner
Very true statement there m8 100% agree, in this case we brought the trees so at least it’s us taking the hit not the farmer, also in this market that’s not worth even logging atm I haven’t got time to fuck around moving 1000 trees per ha cearfully,if it was Prue butts would be totally diff, but at the end of the day I’m not trying to defend myself 2much u are still right in what u are saying
Looks like you're cutting planted timber over there brother if that's true I haven't watched a lot of videos one heck of a slope that you work on enjoyed.
I'm wondering what is the purpose of this task? Why cant the feller machine make the bunches when falling the trees so this machine wouldn't be needed at all?
