Hello madam! I am an erhu student from Philippines. I can't find a teacher here and I rely to your videos. Somehow knowledgeable at piano, I also memorized every notes from different scales. But it is hard for me to memorize it on erhu (although I know the sequence of the notes) because I can't memorize the locations yet. Is it recommended for me to place white and black dots at the neck to signify every notes to where it is needed to be pressed relatively to the strings?
Initially, it will be very helpful to place dots/tape to indicate the finger positions (check each note with the tuner). Once it has become muscle memory, you can remove the dots/tape.
Loving your videos I have ordered some erhu stickers so I can no were to put my fingers I can’t wait to get a Erhu
Most importantly is to use a tuner so that you know exactly where to place the stickers.
