This was one of the best episodes. In this same episode, John Cooper Clarke's story of reciting a poem at the wedding of two dogs in "this is my..." is just as funny.
Not even Jaques Cousteau would have prescription goggles . Lee and David have been doing this for so long the producers give stories they can have fun with . Alex Jones joined in nicely . The photo is a nice touch .
Theres only 1 button, the button reveals the answer that production have set up so it shows the answer because they know it's true or a lie as when the guests get to the studio they tell the production team their story (or stories) with the chance they may or may not use it for the show. It may seem easier just to have 2 buttons and it shows the graphic based on the answer and the button you press but I think they do it like that so cuts the risk of pushing the wrong button and causing confusion and chaos.
Actually the button doesnt do a damn thing, it's just for show. It's just a big prop button connected to nothing at all. Usually whoever is putting the answer on the screen is good with timing it to their button press, but sometimes theyre off by a second or so, especailly when they do like a stalling or fakeout move before actually pressing it
@@GroovingPict that's contradictory to what both Rob and David have said during one of their live would I lie to you tours ive been to when they've been asked
@@Alpha-nc3iw well you either remember that wrong or theyre lying. The buttons dont do anything. It doesnt take much WILTY watching to work that out for yourself by just how often the reveal doesnt match the button press. And also there are outtakes, and in one one of them is going "oh no, I forgot to press the button!" and the answer still came up
this show is going on since 2007! they must be desperate for anythgin surprising happening in David's or Lee's life to get a (good) true story. And credit to them for not faking stuff. And it doesn't matter because Lee selling a lie is always fun anyway.
That looks like a prescription lifejacket too! :D Where were you swimming... on the set of Megalodon! That water looks so choppy, like you are way out from the coast, wow! Thanks guys, always a lotta fun in here!
Don’t get bullied, Jodi! I wear prescription goggles when swimming - without them I can’t see a thing and can’t find my way back to the correct lounger round the pool!
It's not true. Because he said he was at his locker with his stuff. Which means he would have walked into the ladies locker from the start before swimming. And there is no excuse for foggy goggles then.
Speedo sells prescription goggles. Apparently the tints matter depending if in pool or not. Or indoor/outdoor Clearly those who questioned their existence do not need glasses.
I don't wear my glasses in the pool, but I can see blurry shapes so I can avoid bumping into people. Also if I go underwater and open my eyes, I can see clearly and in focus.
I've got prescription lenses (-6.50) that I'll wear day and night for a month. Without them I wouldn't recognize my best friends and family until they were within a meter... She's definitely right
Was at the recording of this episode. Funniest 3 hours of my life 😂
Button. See episode with question was Lee Mack invited to (formerly Prince) Harrys wedding.

I have read the buttons don’t do anything. I can’t remember where.

Lee's stories are very, very seldom true.

Prime banter at the start
Oh he is annoying isn’t he Jodie lol
Never
Adorbs pic .. except for whatever underwater weapon you're clutching.

On a similar topic you should watch Lee’s binocular story
But have you got a prescription windscreen?

Button if connected only needs to trigger the reveal of an answer.
Production already knows what the answer will be to flash up on the screen.

Surely, if you are wearing contacts, normal goggles would keep the water off them anyway?
(this is before i watch the clip)
I’ve worn lens while swimming for 40 years. If there was a problem I’d know by now
Glasses Jodi is the best Jodi.
I cant see without mine either.
This was rather topical , now you’d lose your leisure centre membership for complaining about a man in a woman’s changing area.
In fact there is a very early episode removed from iPlayer where the guest story centered on him dancing with a woman who was in fact a man.
Never trust a man who wears a cap indoors.
Silly rule
With respect, does this guy know how high he’s punching?
Of course
Just don’t let her know that 😊
Ah, come on, one's either blind or a liar to not see that's a handsome man
