Well Dennis hope 2 C U around my part of the world at some point Santa Barbara county area. 🤞 I'm currently building a car using wine barrels I call it the Vino rod.
A car like this is a version of hot rods, like jazz is a version of music. Where exhibition of skill is part of the driver for the display of imagination.
Looked at first like the driver would have to climb over the top of the car and drop down for entry and exit till I saw those door cut outs for the long exhaust pipes.
@MyClassicCarTV : Dennis, I have enjoyed "My Classic Car" since the beginning. I can't believe 28 years have flown buy! The only car show/ channel I've watched longer is "MotorWeek" 👍👍
@@rogergoodman8665 MotorWeek! Yes. I've been watching that since I could learn how to push the button on my grandparents console TV while I was still in footie pajamas. I remember sitting in front of that radiation box on the orange shag carpeting. Did you know that Pat Goss passed away a couple months ago at 80.
I recognize those taillights, but I can't remember the car make or the year. They are from the mid 50s and they are turned sideways. Help me. The cutouts in the doors for the exhaust pipes are amazing.
Un-WHOLY MOLY!!! Absolutely pure cool. Of course, no physicist would recommend only rear brakes unless he's one of them stunt physicists that do them perfect 180 backslide spins but this is funner than a physicist anyday, haha... I think Neil Degrasse Tyson would agree.
@@MyClassicCarTV I love Hot Rods. But only if they are sensible. I wanna be able to take a three state cruise if I want to with no problems. So, if you say that I just don't get it with this one, well, I'm kinda proud of that.
Lol, the door cut-outs for the zoomies are hilarious.
I love this early 60s show-rod look. Super-gimmicky, but cool as hell.
I love this car. I don't usually like the the light ,bright green, but I couldn't imagine this rod any other colour?
Very cool, also notice how the owner's shirt matches the car. I love this show
This car looks like a lifetime of experience, I can see influence from every decade.
So true!
Nice work 👍
Happy to see all those old school ideas and original old parts come together on this amazing build - a true Hot Rod for sure. 😎🤙🌺
WOW ! Such a nice ride ! Thank you for the video ! ☺♥
What an absolutely insane yet cool and gorgeous hot rod that displays superb craftsmanship skills developed over a lifetime.👍👍 Thanks again Dennis!
This V6 sounds like a V8.
Awesome work on this Hot rod👍
Thanks Dennis
That's because it is a V8.
@@MyClassicCarTV Really??? I could not find the 4th exhaust pipe on either side of the engine on this video. Maybe is under the engine 😂
@MrTurboRotary A lot of old V8s only had 3 on each side...
@@g.o.b.2558 🤔
@@MrTurboRotary how many sparkplug wires are in the head?
perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect in all.
parts, style, color design !!

Been watching you since the 80s. You don't age at all. Are you a robot? 😋
I know, it’s kinda weird but I figure one of these days I’m going to age 50 years all at once. 😬
He's a food scientist... he must know the good stuff?!
Actually a PhD chemist, but I did a lot of work on food products.
I’m so happy your on UA-cam Dennis I used to have to rewatch my myclassiccartv dvds over and over I have some sets I got at Costco 😂
Gotta love a car that has a 3:1 carburettor-to-door ratio.
Absolutely gorgeous and the craftsmanship is incredible.
WOW what an Amazing build!!
Oh wow, very cool!!!! 👍👍

WOW !! 👍😊👍
That thing has some chop.
Top job Randy. 👍
Dennis, you always find a super one of a kind rod to show us, and it's usually green, your favorite color! 😂
I'd recognize the DMC anywhere!😊
That exhaust system going through the door alone is so cool. Insane
Looked at first like the driver would have to climb over the top of the car and drop down for entry and exit till I saw those door cut outs for the long exhaust pipes.
❤👍🇱🇷😁 yes sir Dennis love the back wheel and slices nice ride hope you have a great weekend ❤
Really cool seeing the vintage speed parts!
Cool car
What a machine!!
It feels like I've been watching you on this show for like 40 years😂
28 actually, but that’s still a pretty long time. 👍

Sweet ride
vintage parts are awesome
I want to see those tires light upppp!!!!
Well done gentlemen !
Haha, awesome!
really cool..
Wow!
1:01 Passenger side straight wheel ? . Drivers side turned wheel ?
FishEye lens refraction? at 1:12 we see the front right is turned!

Kinda reminds me of an old Johny Cash song.
it needs green metal flake seats covers.
My model t roadster hot rod also has no front brakes. But mine has all parts older than 1931, oh and just 65hp!
A friend had a truck like that. No glass bottles just no floor!
A bit scary to look down and see the drive shaft spinning?
helped my boring day ...tony
"No front brakes, they just slow you down".
Model Ts never came with front brakes , why add something that Henry Ford deemed to be unnecessary ?
this is why old school cars are fucking better then shitty modern ones especially EV !
They all have their place on the continuum.
@@MyClassicCarTV i can make them immortal thats why im mechanic
Love the craftsmanship of this car, but did anyone else notice one wheel straight and the other one turned. Is there a reason behind that?
That's an illusion created by the wide angle lens.
@@MyClassicCarTV Okay, I thought I was going crazy.
Coolest grandpa's in the world live in the USA
hopefully no rain when he drives😮
Hmmm...? 20 years!
Love your content always. Could you once in awhile throw in a motor bike? Thanks.

Many drag cars didn't have front brakes. Not a big deal if you have a fat, sticky tire on the rear.
What a waste of some cool old parts. Slicks and no front brakes. Geez.
Wow! You really don’t get it.

This one is art by a true artist and legend.
I didn't hear what size was the Oldsmobile motor and horsepower 🤔
'56 Olds would have been a 324 c.i. when new , who knows what it is now .
