i still cant comprehend that this is supposed to be losers top 24. so many upsets and mindblowing plays. this years frostbite is insane

Just like in sports - great top ranked professionals and champions being consistently at the top for a while produces a division of players climbing the ranks all the while practicing to beat them. Same think happens in the UFC when a division has a top tier few fighters constantly at the top - they get so much focus and prestige that everyone is automatically training themselves to face them eventually.

Interesting to see such a difference between Marss vs Leo and Marss vs Zackray when they're both using Joker. Must be because Japanese players are so used to Zero Suit players as it's pretty noticeable when Zackray reacts so well to the flip kicks.
sircusa this is a fair point. In the set where Marss was upset by Paseriman, it’s so clear that Paseriman read most of zss moves and made on point reactions. I’m really thinking this is a Japan thing.

Zackary plays a bit more aggro, which is probably why he SDs so much more, but also why he does better vs Mars. Mars might also have been off his game, lots of factors play into it
What i noticed when comparing this set and leo vs marss in genesis is that Zackray challenged marss offstage alot.
Aggro? He shields a lot since ZSS can't do barely anyhting shields.

Marss used up all his chakra at Genesis. He still hasn't recharged yet.

@10:06 Why does EVERYONE say ZSS has a good grab? High Risk High Reward? She gets nothing from her grabs anymore. No guaranteed combos like mario. Her down grab was nerfed from smash 4 so she can't do her up air air chains after it anymore. luigi has the same distance grab except it's faster and gives him way more options. So stop saying stuff like that before she gets a big nerf AGAIN

After watching genesis7 GF, here Marss plays really bad. But he awoke from game3. But back throw flip kick ruined his momentum.

One mistake cost marss, I was so mad. But well marss will bounce back next tournment. And if he just gets his mentality better he could be the best like leo
He needs more mu knowledge against jp players. He was so confident against Paseriman probably thinking he took care of light no problem everytime so another fox wouldn’t be an issue but the insane upset happened. I really hope he can start learning every player and zss mu thoroughly and by then he may be invincible.
George Cai I am sure that this is the first time that other than evo marss missed top 8 lol. I’m sure if he could get a better mentality he can be so good. He was so mad and I think that is a big reason zackray won. He was lost but yeah he needs to learn playing against Japan. Maybe going to some Japan A teirs and S teirs he could win stuff and get tons of practice.
Marss with a strong mentality is OP, he had a strong ass mentality in G7 and he demolished everyone, including Leo.
He also needs to switch up his gameplan from time to time, going full agro is not going to work all the time.
Also, he has missed several top8s, this isnt the first time, its rare tho.

He misinputed, which caused him to SD. If you watch the clip again, you'll see Zackray throw out a Side B way below the stage. That was likely meant to be an Up B, causing him to plummet to his death

He was tilted as hell durng thiis toruney. He lets out big sigs a lot on caamera when he loses stocks and games and stuff- frequent noticibible repetetive sighing is a consistent symptom of a someone who might be a long term experience of depression.it's a way to cope with the emotional pain by oxygenating distract you while your wounds start healing.
I can tell you for a fact that I sighed out loud constantly, in front of people - could be a call for help - really he jut needs to find some passion with some other good characters. he shoulda t least be familiarienough with a handful to mix upo the matchuip to try and throw joker offf - which is why he should ahve counter picked a dangerousz zoner like samus or ROB

Zack's joker is less mobile than leo's joker but much higher hit rate
Zackary doesn’t move as much as other top players in certain MU’s. There are times when he just won’t move at all for a solid 5 seconds. Watch his set vs light at Big house

A lot of these Frostbite 2020 vids keep acting like Joker was nerfed significantly. I mean... It wasn't THAT significant.
yeah only the gun hitbox reduction is noticeable
It actually was arsene meter runs out far more faster so it's easier to camp and the gun to Edgard is more inconsistent which is important for joker

she's too light weight wise to function in her current brawler like state with very few true combos, you are essentailly just fishing for ways to get in and start a jugle and with her small attack hitboxes, reliance on a few well known setups to get a confirm kill are all well documented among the public about both f these characters
Bruh the nerfs weren't shit. And no Mars isn't carried.
They only nerfed her bury and Marss did not even use that in his fight against MKLeo. If anything, Joker is still a broken, cheap, easy to use character while ZSS takes precision and timing to be good.
