Great video! I really want one of these but I tend toward off road stuff. Softening the suspension up is going to give it that little bit of extra ability so I can take it off road gently on mild dirt, big smooth outcrops, compacted sand etc, not heavy crawling by any means but just enough to make it a little more versatile than a pavement runner. Just what I needed, thanks!
You are welcome I am right there along with you I think it would be awesome to turn this into an overlanding van and go as far as putting dual tires in the back. Before I push myself to make this chassis four-wheel drive might buy the metal version I fear this chassis will not be stiff enough for a 4x4. Thanks
I built a trailer for my van and did the front end, trans, drive shaft, and rear end all in metal.I also gave the whole body on my D12 truck a 1/2 inch body lift it helped with clearance for the rear end to give it more suspension and fit bigger tires on it.
I got the metal suspension kit that came with 2 positions on the upper control arm to put the torsion spring, one soft and one a bit stronger for the suspension lift.
My suspension was just the opposite you said yours was too stiff mine was way too weak like whenever I would push down on my van it would not come up on its own strength so I remedied this by adding another torsion bar I'm running to and it's just about enough to where it'll fully recover but still flexes when it goes over bumps I wonder why mine was weak
Very nice video! I was wondering if locking the rear differentials would make this truck better at overcoming obstacles? Or it is better to leave the rear differentials alone?
I have a d32. It has a thinner torsion bar. Its way too soft. Alreeady broken some parts out ob suspension arms with small stones low on the ground. When driving it nealry always bottomed out.
Great video ! Would be nice to see a "shortned" (200 to 180mm)c34 chassis with that bodie , and woh to do that...I will try to modify my c44km chassi when i get one d42...I already have a d12 with a b24km chassi, great fun build it.

The torsion bar on the D12 and t he r d42 are different.

Very nice !! I will definitely be doing these mods soon!
Great tips 👍

They have different thicknesses. Maybe wrongly assembled

Rear diff is locked she just need a loft and 4xr lol
@@rcjourney8080 haha ok thought it was open diff
@@Wild_Buggy for onroad i installed a diff turns on a dime its insane. ofroad youre stuck as soon it lifts one wheel

I agree great idea
Very good mod thank you for sharing ! I'll try on my D12, more realistic feel at slow speed
Love from Indonesia🙏🙏
A 4x4 build would be cool to see any help would be appreciated.
I really wish I could see a 4x4 conversion.
Am I trippin or was that D12 extremely tiny???!!??
Super tiny D-12
@@rcjourney8080 oh yeah I checked some of your other videos and found the D12 mini unboxing video. That's so cool I never knew the mini existed
