Rs3 is coming back imo I quit old school a few months ago and came back to try rs3 out and I’m loving it I’d say if you’re a pvm based player it’s so much more enjoyable but the learning curve is honestly difficult it’s a lot to learn the game has changed a lot over the years
Thank you for trying out rs3 again and actually giving it a chance, instead of the "osrs players bashing on rs3" Right now i don't play rs. but I mainly stick to rs3. My "adulthood" doesn't give me so much time for gaming, so I like it when I don't have to grind so much anymore. I still remember my first rs2 99wc level. little me knowing nothing of the best XP, just cutting down magic trees for days, until I got 99.. But i can never see me doing something like that again, with my limited time. I have an osrs ironman and normal account, but I haven't played on them since 2018. But my rs3 account has been played a couple of hours this year.
Just to sum up RS3 to people who haven't looked at it since 2013/2014 to fellow OSRS players Its not about XP or GP any more like how OSRS is (how runescape used to be), where you grind skills spend GP on them to eventually get your skills up to make you more GP and PVM ready and PVP ready, which in essence is the entirety of what OSRS is about XP and GP at its core RS3 is about achievement hunting, whether its completing Boss logs, task lists, minigames acivements, Feats, skills ect you name it pretty much everything, it does take a really long time if you actually play, and its about end game PVM, and completing years of quests/content, learning EOC was cancer but its really hard when you get to end game and its kinda fun GP and XP mean almost nothing in the game now, when you make fun of that aspect calling it ezscape it really dosent matter cause your kicking a dead horse lmao, like NO shit it is lmaoo theres DBXP like every 3 months its a fucking joke, and the markets all fucked cause of it, it is ez scape absolutely when it comes to GP and XP It just plays different now its not Runescape really, its mostly a different game in kinda a RS skin, its not about what the glory days are and what OSRS IS Incomparable games I personally play both, and swap GP between the two for fun As a Trim Comp player (that still maintains it) getting to that end game was kinda fun ngl, took a long time, but you play what you like. OSRS is really fun idk why people hate the grind when literally thats what makes the game so amazing, such a shit argument Hope that gives you a better insight to what shitty Runescape is like now, but i still like it, lots and lots to do even when you get Comp and Trim Comp
This ^ maxing isn’t even the end goal anymore. Once I maxed, I went to kill bosses and pet hunt for fun. 120s are the new 99s and it’s just there for people who enjoy the big grinds.

I'm honestly torn. I'm a die hard osrs player, but personally i loved the era of runescape between 2007 and EOC. i loved dungeoneering and summoning. I find myself wanting to get on rs3 just to experience some stuff again thats not in osrs, but rs3 just isnt what i like about runescape. tho seeing runescape in hd after all these years is a really nice feeling. like seeing your nostalgia come to life.
It was so nice to see you revisit RS3, especially because you didn't shit on the game right away. I've noticed a lot of OSRS players seem to actively hate the game. Some like to talk shit in the comments of the RS Instagram, just cause.
Switched from hardcore OSRS player to rs3 6 weeks ago and I can't fathom going back. RS3 is everything I've ever wanted from a 'play a game to have fun' perspective. Wish more people gave it a try.
When you enter the Vorago boss instance, you take damage after initiating the instance/talking to Vorago and accepting his challenge. If you are duoing or trioing Vorago, the damage you take is around 12-15k (that's the split of the total damage that you take, it is split across your party). Normally people just rocktail and use armour/shields to boost HP, but that vitality pot might be useful there. Also, Torva went up because you can use it to make t92 armour if I recall correctly. It used to be 10-30m a piece, even less for gloves.
Yo, thats me! @A Friend, you're exactly right. Even when i deal with someone trying to sell a hat they always famously say "offer". They try to make as much profit as possible, since the rares aren't regulated on any type of market, they fluctuate extremely. It's honestly quite annoying. That's why I have individuals selling to send me price, and i'll negotiate from there as long as it's a reasonable market value price. Appreciate the cameo!
Damn, dude, I just watched the whole thing very high, and it was beautiful to watch you come back to rs3 and learn everything like an infant lamb, and actually enjoying it! Keep going, you might even do something very big for your channel and this quite underrated game! Very enjoyable video!

Mining nodes are infinite in RS3, but you need to click once in a while to mine efficiently. The most efficient is to click the glowing rock (once it pops up) and otherwise click between every swing. Oh, and while it doesn't seem to be present in the video, maybe it's something you get later on, there should be two bars when mining. One progress bar, the blue one, and one... I guess energy bar, which is orange. The orange drains with each swing and the blue increases with every swing. Clicking on a node resets the orange bar to full. The smithing is also quite different, where you have to manage the heat on the item and smithing takes a while to do. To compensate, you instead get way more xp/second if you craft +5 or burial items. Burial items are basically items that you sacrifice for xp. Some high alch the +5 items and some go for more xp with burial.
@@gianluigijequinto That may be it. Still, it's pretty pointless since you should be clicking on glowing rocks more frequently than you get lowered efficiency.
@@CottidaeSEA agreed, but I think Jagex put 4 levels of difficulty. Pure afk, semi afk, semi efficient, and efficient. Pure afk is just doing nothing, semi afk is clicking every time your stamina bar runs out, semi efficient is 4 ticking, and efficient is 4 ticking and clicking on glowing rocks. I somewhat combined semi afk and efficient by only clicking on critical rocks. Glowing rocks always appear before you completely drain your stamina bar.
Would be cool to see you doing a bit of RS3 content, there are some new(ish) additions that would make your old loot from 10 hours videos very interesting and more chill for you. For example: Bonecrusher: It can be upgraded to automatically pick up bones Herbicide: It can be upgraded to automatically pick up herbs Seedicide: It can be upgraded to automatically pick up seeds Herb pouch: It can store herbs, herbs from herbicide are automatically placed inside Spring cleaner: It can be used to automatically alch or disassemble various "salvage" ("Salvage" replaced metal drops such as rune items, they are useless except for alchemy) Notepaper: They can be used to note items, one is used per item (Cost around 1k each) Gem bag: Can be upgraded to store 60 of each gem (Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Dragonstone) Aggression potions are actually tradeable, there is also "Scrimshaw of aggression" which last for an hour at a time. Another thing you may be interested in is "Ushabti", once you're 99 slayer you can use them to capture the souls of many creatures, and place them into your player owned slayer dungeon (Slayer also goes up to 120 now). To get away from all of the pay-to-win you could even make an ironman account.
I love the fact one of the first thing you did was check the settings. As a rs3 played I always recommend all new/returning players to check out all the settings and set up an interface. Its helps so much to know where all the options are even if you wont use it atm you might need it in the future.
I came back to RS for OSRS and thought I'd give Rs3 a chance the other week after never playing anything post EOC and I found it such an overwhelming experience

@@ThePurpleDuke can't agree more, i don't enjoy os grinds as much as rs3 as os it's basically do one thing for 100 hours, rs3 you can at least choose how you wanna train

RS3 has so many ways of training and also so much content when it comes to PvM that's so easily accesible and enjoyable once you're tired of skilling. You don't need max stats / max gear to boss efficiently on RS3 compared to OSRS. RS3 is flawed ofc, very, but i find it much more enjoyable than OSRS.

The _powerburst of vitality_ doubles current and max health for 6 seconds. In other words, it's effectively a 50% damage reduction potion for 6 seconds with a 2 minute cooldown. The drawback is that it reduces the effectiveness of healing by 50% during the duration as well by the way, since you'd need to heal twice as much to gain the same amount of health once the effect wears off.

I like RS3 and that's the game I play, but only on Ironman. I don't know how anyone can play it non-Ironman. It's like turning on cheats. Don't want to train Divination? No problem, there is something in Treasure Hunter to give you fast xp for doing basically nothing. Don't like grinding for some money? Buy some keys, maybe you'll win 100M in a lottery (sure, it's unlikely, but the fact that someone can do that cheapens the game imo). Ironman mode removes most of the bad things from the game and makes it a MUCH more enjoyable game to play. For OSRS people who abandoned RS3 due to MTX, I recommend giving it a shot on Ironman. You'll still get limited to no PvP though, but if you're looking to PvM, the bossing experience in RS3 is insanely good. I don't care what people say about EoC, it's a much more interesting combat system for bossing and adds a lot more depth. It also makes combat training way less grindy and more enjoyable since you can attack a bunch of enemies at once. But for PvP, I much prefer the OSRS combat system.
Doing Nex before Eoc was probably one of my favorite times in RS. Even though afterwards I was able to easily solo it, just wasn't the same especially after almost everyone I knew left. =,(

I still have 40 hours left lmao. Last time it ended and I had 3 hours left.
Is about time Jagex stop with this constant dxp, two for year is more than enough
Ah the pauze thing was to pauze the timer? Dude, I am such a noob. I didn't get it either. The maths in my head. 10 days double XP? 48 hours? What?? Whatever... Hahahaha
Rs3 is coming back imo I quit old school a few months ago and came back to try rs3 out and I’m loving it I’d say if you’re a pvm based player it’s so much more enjoyable but the learning curve is honestly difficult it’s a lot to learn the game has changed a lot over the years
Rs3 is dead 5k playerbase trash, its not comimg back from nowhere until they remove every garb update from 2011 onward lmao.
Berenu you clearly have no idea what your talking about but ok
Thank you for trying out rs3 again and actually giving it a chance, instead of the "osrs players bashing on rs3"
Right now i don't play rs. but I mainly stick to rs3.
Didn’t want this video to end, very interesting to see how the game is now and a lot of nostalgia. I would watch a series on this
Just to sum up RS3 to people who haven't looked at it since 2013/2014 to fellow OSRS players
Its not about XP or GP any more like how OSRS is (how runescape used to be), where you grind skills spend GP on them to eventually get your skills up to make you more GP and PVM ready and PVP ready, which in essence is the entirety of what OSRS is about XP and GP at its core
RS3 is about achievement hunting, whether its completing Boss logs, task lists, minigames acivements, Feats, skills ect you name it pretty much everything, it does take a really long time if you actually play, and its about end game PVM, and completing years of quests/content, learning EOC was cancer but its really hard when you get to end game and its kinda fun
GP and XP mean almost nothing in the game now, when you make fun of that aspect calling it ezscape it really dosent matter cause your kicking a dead horse lmao, like NO shit it is lmaoo theres DBXP like every 3 months its a fucking joke, and the markets all fucked cause of it, it is ez scape absolutely when it comes to GP and XP
It just plays different now its not Runescape really, its mostly a different game in kinda a RS skin, its not about what the glory days are and what OSRS IS
Incomparable games
I personally play both, and swap GP between the two for fun
As a Trim Comp player (that still maintains it) getting to that end game was kinda fun ngl, took a long time, but you play what you like.
OSRS is really fun idk why people hate the grind when literally thats what makes the game so amazing, such a shit argument
Hope that gives you a better insight to what shitty Runescape is like now, but i still like it, lots and lots to do even when you get Comp and Trim Comp
This ^ maxing isn’t even the end goal anymore. Once I maxed, I went to kill bosses and pet hunt for fun. 120s are the new 99s and it’s just there for people who enjoy the big grinds.
I dont remember asking. Dont care.
Marcus M HOLY SHIT GUYS ITS THE REAL MARCUS M!!! Dude I’m such a big fan. My favorite video of yours was the last one you did, where in the first minute of you video you missed all those shots! Dude you’re so cool!

Omg yes! Have been watching your old RS3 vids hoping you still could make an RS3 video... and here it is! Thanks.
It was so nice to see you revisit RS3, especially because you didn't shit on the game right away. I've noticed a lot of OSRS players seem to actively hate the game. Some like to talk shit in the comments of the RS Instagram, just cause.
"I wont be playing rs3 regularly" lol I see that worked out.
Would LOVE to see a 30 min RS3 video from you once a month Dovy. I could hear the excitement & passion in your voice during this video.

Switched from hardcore OSRS player to rs3 6 weeks ago and I can't fathom going back. RS3 is everything I've ever wanted from a 'play a game to have fun' perspective. Wish more people gave it a try.

Don't be silly
RS3 is genuinely good. It's just a different game. You might find yourself enjoying the bossing, since it has a lot of unique depth to it.
Can vouch its a very good game too
Too much Chanced for me but i Played it 2-3 Months it Was fun. But i have way more fun With oldschool
It's a great game and it has lots and lots of content. Even when I have little time to play I still feel like I achieve something.
Dovy, as an rs3 player I really enjoyed this vid. You probably won't ever play RS3 but if you ever did again, I think it would be great content!
Awesome!!! I just started taking a break from OSRS, and started RS3. I'm absolutely loving RS3!!!!
Will dance for you in game for 100m
I have waited so long on this video!
rs3 isnt really that bad honestly
especially as an ironman
The less time I have in life, the more attractive rs3 is tbh.
@@MrMrwhisker1 I came back to it as an Ironman. It's god damn fun ngl.
This, you can enjoy the whole game from start to end in a reasonable amount of time. It's still a grind compared the majority of games.
Damn, dude, I just watched the whole thing very high, and it was beautiful to watch you come back to rs3 and learn everything like an infant lamb, and actually enjoying it! Keep going, you might even do something very big for your channel and this quite underrated game! Very enjoyable video!
Aw heck yeah, finally some RS3 content. I've been waiting for this, I'm honestly kinda tired of osrs
It is great to see a leader in the OSRS community show RS3 gameplay - Welcome back from your break Dovydas - and warm greetings to all who try RS3 again!

My favourite A Friend video yet. Seemed super fucking excited. I want some more of this. Not you completing content and powering through the game, I want to see you explore this game.
Everything you said was 'I want this in RS Classic...'

Nostalgia, A friend back on RS3. Damn this bring back memories, I’ve followed you since your RS3 Ironman series ages ago 🙌🏽 Still here today, watching you play Osrs, even tho I’m playing RS3. Hate to see all the hate between both games 😔
Rs3 is genuinely an amazing game in terms of content imo.
The mechanics (and invention amd the othef new skill) is what really made me not wanna keep playing.
Summoning, Dung, and the lore is fun af
Jolly must be so happy you finally came back!

Haven't played in a while but I think you have to toggle to see your mining stamina bar.
@@gianluigijequinto That may be it. Still, it's pretty pointless since you should be clicking on glowing rocks more frequently than you get lowered efficiency.
Alching +5 items isn't worth it at all tf, only reason they're way above alch price is cuz they give fuck tons of inv mats
@@Kerttis Forgetting about ironmen?
For example:
Bonecrusher: It can be upgraded to automatically pick up bones
Herbicide: It can be upgraded to automatically pick up herbs
Seedicide: It can be upgraded to automatically pick up seeds
Herb pouch: It can store herbs, herbs from herbicide are automatically placed inside
Spring cleaner: It can be used to automatically alch or disassemble various "salvage" ("Salvage" replaced metal drops such as rune items, they are useless except for alchemy)
Notepaper: They can be used to note items, one is used per item (Cost around 1k each)
Gem bag: Can be upgraded to store 60 of each gem (Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Dragonstone)
Aggression potions are actually tradeable, there is also "Scrimshaw of aggression" which last for an hour at a time.
Another thing you may be interested in is "Ushabti", once you're 99 slayer you can use them to capture the souls of many creatures, and place them into your player owned slayer dungeon (Slayer also goes up to 120 now).
To get away from all of the pay-to-win you could even make an ironman account.
you would enjoy runescape 3 end game pvm content its so thrilling but people just dont give Rs 3 a try especaily on an ironman
That's the biggest issue they have currently. The game is beautiful and so much fun, but it takes time to get used to everything and many people don't have the patience.
@@Memorih that's why I don't play it.
Seems like there's a lot to do but the learning curve seems huge
@Grey goose rs3 is very fun tho you're just stupid
@@ThePurpleDuke can't agree more, i don't enjoy os grinds as much as rs3 as os it's basically do one thing for 100 hours, rs3 you can at least choose how you wanna train
@@VidZarg yeah to me OSRS feels very linear which makes me feel burned out faster, and on top of that the community just sucks with their "nostalgia" crying right and left.
It was great to see you play RS3 again. It sounded like you were having fun
Do a rs3 ironman series afriend.

Returning players have significantly increased luck until they roll a purple. its a tactic Jagex uses to get players to continue playing.
That's not anywhere near unheard of.

@@kevinferguson5979 doesnt need a video to compare. RS3 is dead anime EOC WoW ripoff trash osrs isnt. Theres the comparison
@@berenu3129 i think both games have there own benefits and negatives, i feel RS3 appeals to the more casual player, where as OSRS is more of a grind, personally i haven't got eight hours a day to mine a rock for example but each to there own.
I think that's the reason why OSRS gets better traction on UA-cam because there's more veteran players who have more time on there hands and show more passion about expressing there opinions on a game that consumes a lot of there time, with RS3 Its like meh.... cant really be bothered to argue because its just a game.
@@kevinferguson5979 not really even the casual player goes for OSRS whilst RS3 gets no new players. Its because its a dead, sinking ship. OSRS actually gets new players
@@berenu3129 rs3 have a complex combat
so rs3 pvm> osrs pvm
and osrs pk > rs3 pk ( there are so many mechanics to be awere on both sides of an fight), and its not that enjoyable pk
Finally, i love both games so finally a rs3 video is appreciated lol

EOC is trash. Until they dont completely remove EOC and its disgusting glittery cosmetics RS3 is doomed
