Wonderful video is a fitting tribute . I met Reginald Dixon at Buckingham Town Hall many long years ago, and we got a guided tour of the 3/10 Wurlitzer installed there that was to start a lifelong obsession with theatre organ music for me! I'm sure Mr Dixon has had that effect on most who met him! Or heard his performances ? The tower Wurlitzer always sounded best for him, the perfect combination !
Alec, this is simply amazing. From the playing, to the history, the organ alterations, and the lovely images. This is incredible documentary quality, in such a way only you could offer. Absolutely superb!
Excellent job Al. A great thrill for me was in 1979 when Mt Dixon came to play the WurliTzer at the Granada, Kingston upon Thames, for its` 40th anniversary. Reg opened the cinema in 1939 just as war was declared and it was great to have him back for the concert.

He certainly knew how to get the best out of it!
I really enjoyed this video. I never get tired of hearing the history of the Blackpool Wuritzer.

Alec I think the solo Tibia has more tone than the main chamber Tibia if you agree with me mate?!
@@TheConsettonian1987 It’s certainly louder and has more of a round tone. The main Tibia is more mellow
Amazing they purchased the wurlitzer from North Totawanda NY. And shipping to the UK …. Rudolph Wurlitzer himself
